I know that. It could be programmed to be exactly like a human. Or like anything, but using the method I described, it could be better. (My definition of better anyway.) "Will it seek to annihilate them to be replaced by others like itself?" Is this a survival instinct? Does it wish to populate the world with it's own "species" or is it willing to evolve or even go extict? If you want to talk to me about this some more, here's my e-mail. (I like this sort of subject a lot.) <a hr

How do we know that machines wouldn't be a better inhabitant of this world? They are not selfish, never become bored (and therefore don't waste energy on entertainment), and make much better decisions for the safty of the environment. (If they were programmed for that anyway.) Of course, they would consider us a huge threat to the ecosystem. But if they were programmed right, they would want us to survive as well, and they they would set up
I have an idea for metaverse. (Although maybe a bit mean and will never be used anyway. (I wouldn't use it either.)) From the players perspective, they are always the best, because any scores higher than themselves will be removed from their screen. Of course, it wouldn't be used and I wouldn't like it anyway. Is 5% the best lowest/degradation percentage? And I like Wulfer's idea best.
He'll probably buy a very comfortable bed. And a life support system so that he can sleep for a whole month.
Maybe you could copy it from the laptop to the desktop.
Mine would be machines, calculating machines. Kind of like the Yor, only without the hatred for organic life. (That's not calculating, that's an emotion.)
You get something when you pre-order it? (Opens the Pre-Order page.) Ok, how does this even work? (Oh, and do I get the manual and box?) (And is a credit card required?)
I thought of something similar to a mine. Have two satalietes with a beam between them that senses ships. When it senses an enemy ship, it turns into a powerful laser/bomb and detonates. Not really the same as mines on earth, but ships in space are nothing like ships on water either. Also, the mines could search for surounding ships and shoot out lasers at them too. (Obviously there would be a limit to distance.) Would that work?
What's wrong about Civilization IV? (I havn't gotten it yet.) Maybe they just ran out of time.
Unless we collonize the rest of the galaxy. Then we would get to survive the death of the solar system! Oh, and how would the ecosystem adapt to a really hot/cold planet? There are certainly life forms that would survive it.
Wait, isn't the planet supposed to become tidelocked with the sun? Not the moon? (That way days will last indefinately. How would we evolve for that? When would we sleep?)
Ok... which forum is it in? Do you remember the name of the topic?
Will someone answer my question? What's the diffrence between multi-threaded and normal scripting artificial intellegence?
What's the diffrence between multi-threaded and normal scripting artificial intellegence?
Ah, so you don't become a veteran by posting 60 katrillion times!
What are the flaws in the Civilization series? I have the third game and it has become my favrite computer game. (May or may not change when I play Galactic Civilizations II.)
Ok, thanks for the information. I now know that I can be absolutly certain that I will like the entire [Metaverse mode] [with restrictions] part of the game. Oh, now I've thought of another question. What's the file size? So I can estimate the download time. Edit: Where can I find the system requirements?
Questions about the Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords demo. 1. Will it be released at the same time as the full version? 2. Will it be downloadable from the Stardock or Galactic Civilizations websites? 3. Will it be free or for a price? What price? 4. What will it contain? 5. Will it support the same screen resolutions and have the same system requirements? What are they? If this has already been answered (all five of them) then just point me in th
Incresing the density crams the stars together, so there's more space for other stars, which they cram in with the other stars.
Are they STILL debating about Pluto? Or have they decided it's a giant astroid from the far reaches of the solar system? (And we do NOT want it to hit us! ) Jupiter almost got to be a star.... Poor jupiter. But then again, we wouldn't exist. What would it be like with a binary system? Are there any in-game?
What was the Master of Orian method? Maybe scrap the weapons and modules and put the new ones on?
Mind you I dont know how many copies will even be shipped to the stores but store sale will probably be less than 50% of the circulation. So not many peopel will even ahve instalation disks. What? Less than 50% of the game products will reach the stores? I can't buy on-line (no credit card) I'd like one at the mall that I can get.
What about a demo? So that I can see if I do, in fact, like it? (I'm pretty sure that I will but I want to make certain.)
My theory is that the game associates the ship image with the original name, but does not re-associate the ship with the new name, and so, deletes the old ship (but not the image) and creates a new ship (without an image.) Well, that's my theory.
How would a blockad cause that kind of limitation? Are you sending a small fleet to destory their fuel reserves or something? I was thinking that a blockad could be used for attacking an invading fleet with more accurecy/power/speed or something similar.
