WinCustomize ForumsWizop- Thanks. I apparently misread the initial comment. Regardless, the sdmcp.exe file had been removed from the startup. Put it back an viola.

Same problem with tray or taskbar. Tried second dock, but system tray wouldn't appear there either??????
