Wizard, I wish I had your talent for patience. Has anyone figured out how many pieces of the puzzle have yet to be updated? Perhaps I should learn something about meditation, do you think? ;)

If past history is any indication of when Theme Manager will be out, you can look at Theme Mangager 2007, which if my memory serves me right, was released in November of that year. I'm certainly hoping for an earlier release date than that this year. I really wish that Stardock would be a little more transparent with thier customers on their production schedule, so they can stop holding their breath for the next major release! :NOTSURE:
Sorry if what I said was intrerpreted as a bribe.. just thought I was being clever given the subject of my post. Nevetherless, Pixelo & Bebi both get Karma points, the first for a wonderfully clear explanation and to Bebi for clarifiying the purpose of Karma points. Besides karma points, you have my thanks, too! :CONGRAT:
GarGuy, HG Eliminator & Zubaz, I should say that that I really do like the windowblinds that came with the three free Themes. However, it is the "extras", which I think should come with the package that I have most of my problems with. Making my own widgets sounds like a good idea until you realize that the graphics are encrypted and then how would I incorporate the widget into the hard coded theme? Plus, I'm not enough of an artist to create them from scratch (I'm a great art
I just had some helpful people answer some questions for me, but I can't figure out how to give them their well deserved karma points. Can anyone give me a good description of how it's done... and I'll even give you some karma, too!
That could very well be the reason. But if they expect me to ever buy one, then they had better serve up a few good samples for me to try out first, and for the most part, the samples I've seen don't cut it. :(
Scorp, sorry I got you all out of sorts over my question, and thanks for your prompt reply. It will keep my own mind in sorts the next time I get a new theme coming over the transom. :D
If My Colors is already installed on the host machine, why does it need to download the entire thing again just to download a new My Colors Theme? For those on dialup, fixing this would be a most welcome change. Besides, why choke the internet with uneeded bits? Or on second thought, has this already been fixed, and the reason My Colors downloaded this time is because it was also downloading an upgrade?
If you look at Diamond, there are no widgets at all. Quest has two widgets, but it could use a calender. Think Green has a weather widget, but could use a calander and clock.
I like a clean desktop. Is there any way to get My Colors to NOT place that gadgets icon on the desktop? I am fine with having shortcuts only on the start menu.
With all the new versions of Stardock products, I am no longer able to create a reasonably whole Theme Manager theme, or even apply one that has already been created. Is there a timetable when we can expect to see an update for this critical component of Object Desktop?
Is there some way to easily convert the old object dock theme formats into the new ones?
Hi all, I previously tried posting these questions in another area of the Impulse forum because I couldn't find a link that covered Icon Developer questions, and I didn't get a single response. I now have that problem figured out (just find the entry for Icon Developer in Impulse's "MyDesktop" tab and click on forums. I'm having some problems getting Icon Developer to change the color of an icon package. It' s the first time I have us
Since I was exiled from Wincustomize forums a number of weeks a go for the way that I went about thrashing Stardock's crown jewel, Impulse, I have been unable to get any assistance from the techs at . I still have three unresolved support tickets which I need some help with. After sending them three emails apologizing for my obnoxious behavior and getting no responses, I finally figured out that they had blacklisted m
Hi all, I'm having some problems getting Icon Developer to change the color of an icon package. It' s the first time I have used Icon developer, so I'm not sure what I'm doing. Here's what I did: 1. Execute IconDeveloper 2. Click on "Recolor Icons" on the Welcome Screen. 3. Select Khado - Nuage Red.ip 4. A progress indicator pops up and shows progress of unpackaging the IP package. It completes normally. 5. Click on
Seabass, out of curiosity, does Stardock have plans to support the current version of Bootskin for XP at least through the next version of ThemeManager?
The WB and wall look excellent..really nice, clean work. The hue of the gadget is way off tho.
I have to agree with you on all points, including the hue of the gadget. I wonder if the color of the gadget is adjustable?
The only way to get a significent atmosphere on Mars would be to start pummeling the planet with ice from asteroids and comets. But creating an atmosphere won't be the hardest part of the massive multigenerational project. You have to have a magnetic field to shield the planet from the sun's hard radiation, and Mars just doesn't have one. I'm not sure humen technology will be up to the task for at lest several hundered years or more, if it's even possible at all.
Myself, I have two working computers, a desktop and a laptop. I only use the desktop. I have three others in various states of disassembly. I kind of got into the habit of collecting up old computers, resurrecting them by swapping the parts, and then giving them to my less fortunate or computer literate friends. One of these is almost ready to go out the door.
We'll be doing a public article on our thinking of the future of Theme Manager.
How soon can we expect that public article to come out, or did come out and I missed it somehow?
Still praying.....
It was the latter to which I was referring. Currently, you can get at least a WB frame around Impulse. My hope is that they make both programs entirely skinnable consistent with the current WB theme.
Since I originally made this post, I'm sure some of you have since read about how I currently feel about Impulse. I'm of the opinion that Stardock will have to turn Impulse' code inside out and upside down if they ever hope to get it to run efficiently over dialup connections. Adding a refresh button to Impulse compared to that problem seems a trivial, even useless improvement at best, and derisively laughable at worst. Nevertheless, in the hopes of that improvement actually happening I offer
zakai1369, Thanks for bring Frogboy's comments to my attention. It looks like OD subscribers will at some time in the near future, be able to mix and match elements from the Inspired themes. I therefore rescend my "sucks" comment. Lets hope that Stardock carries though with that promise.
