No doubt Mr. Zubaz but it's very frustrating but I will wait to see what stardock comes up with and I do have faith in them as I have been using their products for a while now starting out with window blinds, but decided tp go ultimate as I have Vista Ultimate installed(the best OS for your m/c, Bill Gates claim not mine, I also drive the Ultimate car, BMW's claim not mine so I had to have Oject Desktop Ultimate, the best software you can buy, Stardock's claim also not mine (lo
Having paid for Object Desktop Ultimate, I still cannot get Bootskin Pro to work even after an update, same error comes up 'error aplying xxx bootskin'. What are the powers to be doing to rectify this? My system = 32 bit, Vista Ultimate, English (UK).
Just bought Object Desktoptop Ultimate - all apps work apart from Boot Skin Pro. Keep getting 'Boot Skin Error' also 'There was an error while applying Object Desktop'. Iam running Vista Ultimate on a 32-bit m/c. Apart from that one glitch, very happy with my purchase. hope someone can help -- thanks.
Mr. Zubaz you are the man!!!! -- Oooh I feel such a fool
Can the powers to be explain this please -- I just checked my e-mail box after a three day lapse and it contains 22 messages from Wincustomize.com all reading the same thing and I quote 'The skin comments for Rise of Mezzanine Vista at Wincustomize.com have been updated since your last visit'. Two were sent today, 13 on Monday and 7 on Sunday -- Wow talk about super spamming  anyway if someone can shed some light on this, I'd be delighted to find out the reason.
Or is it SP1 starting to mess with my m/c
Oooops double post -- I swear the forum was playing up with the first post because it didnt appear so wrote it again -- now the two have showed up !!!!
Ok - Just to give you all an update on weather I should install Vista SP1 or wait for Windows Update to do it for me. Well I took the the plunge with some apprehension and d/l to my d/l folder. The d/l took roughly 1hr, at the end I clicked to install the file and then ran like the clappers and hid behind the chair wondering if my impatience is going to break my m/c, I could hear my hard drive going absolutely bonkers ten to the dozen, with me mouthing over and over 'Please don't break Please do
Hi just to give you all an update -- I took the plunge and went ahead and d/l Vista SP1 and saved it to my d/l folder then with my heart in my mouth started the install it took roughly an hour for the d/l and another hour for the install with the m/c booting up about three times in the process, with me sat biting my nails wondering if this is going to mess my m/c up just because iam too impatient to wait for windows update to do it. Very happy to report all is well and my rig seems to have a sli
My question is what do you guys think, should I wait or take the plunge? You can already update to SP1 through Windows-update. Just open the Update-panel and update all the "important" parts. Then reboot and run Windows-Update again. It should now show SP1, if not click on "check for updates".
Done exactly like you said and nothing showed up -- Iam running Vista Ultimate if thats got anything to do with it
VISTA SP1 RELEASEDVISTA SP1 FOR X86 (32 BIT) SYSTEMSVISTA SP1 FOR X64 (64 BIT) SYSTEMSi just got done installing it on my rig....so far so good
Iam tempted to D/L SP1 now instead of waiting for windows update to do it for me, when I went to the site it advises not to d/l on single user p/c but wait for windows update to do it -- something to do with file size. My question is what do you guys think, should I wait or take the plunge?
Hi Guys thanks for the fix, followed your tips now my recycle bin is back to normal. Sir Bichur and Redrumy3 you guys rule.
Hi all hope someone can help me with a small problem -- A while ago I mistakenly deleted the recycle bin icon from my desktop, on replacing it I noticed it no longer animates when its full or emptied it always shows on the desktop as empty although it contains stuff that has been deleted. Thanks in advance for any help.
You might want to uninstall the sarcasm app first . . I'll bet your response time will improve.
Not being a tech head so to speak I thought you were limited to how many times you could reinstall -- anyhooo I went through the whole process again. Must explain at this point, I had to wipe my hard drive and start all over again but iam getting there, only another 20years to get my rig back to it's former glory
Still in the process of rebuilding my m/c, is there a method of reinstalling the o/s (Vista Ultimate) without having to go through registration? I seem to remember reading something here about how to do it sometime back. Thanks
Hi Nimbin thanks but I googled it and found what I was looking for, It's called Fx Visor32.msi, so just popped back in to say just that. Sorry about the free trip offer though :D I guess ole tight wad Fuzzy will be breathing a little easie now  But hey thanks for the help.
You know how you guys are alway shouting 'BACKUP,BACKUP BACK THE F#*K UP' - well guess who didnt take heed. Had a major crash on my m/c and had to do a complete install (Gonna take 20yrs to get my rig back to how I want it). Iam after a piece of software that removes the stupid white arrow from the Desktop Shortcuts without causing comflicts with a couple of the MS installed games, I think its called 'FX Desktop' or something. Now here's the thing -- The first person to point me in the right dir
Policeman on his horse says to little girl on her bike 'Did Santa get you that?' 'Yes' replies the little girl.'Well tell Santa to put a reflector light on it next year' and fined her £5. The little girl looked up at the Policeman and said 'Nice horse you've got there - did Santa bring you that?'
