Since Microsoft has recommended disabling the sidebar and gadgets in Windows for security reasons, how secure are the gadgets/widgets in DesktopX? Should they be disabled as well?

Since Microsoft strongly suggests to disable gadgets due to vulnerabilities, I was wondering if DesktopX gadgets/widgets are anymore secure?
That did it. Thanks.
I get the following error message when I click on under the tab for DISPLAY. "The compound file C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\filename.Ink was produced with an incompatible version of storage."
Thank you! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Your family is in my prayers. If God or Jesus didn't exist we WOULD have different lives.
Merry Christmas one and all! May the New Year bring you peace, joy and God's blessing.
I use TweakXP Pro to make the taskbar transparent.
Thanks, corky_o. Your 1st suggestion did the trick. I must have disbaled that setting with I was trying to get my system tray icons to show up. Do you have that problem?
It used to be that OD+ would attach itself to the top of the taskbar, but lately it attaches to the bottom of the screen and covers the taskbar. No settings change the behavior. Cannot figure out what's going on. Any ideas?
