I dont have much experience with Macs, so I wont comment there. But I am currently running Vista Home Premium, and I have another computer I use for a server, which is currently running Slackware, and has in the past ran Red Hat and Debian. Linux machines are very, and I mean very reliable. Mine ran for many months without ever being rebooted or powered down, and it only went down then because I shut it down to upgrade hardware. It takes some getting used to, but most versions of linux have very

Its a per skin setting...each author makes that determination.Sometimes rollup size is left over from the previous skin...reload the skin and it will go to whatever the author has set. Ahh, thanks. How might I change the rollup setting? I have skin studio free.

Ok, thanks. So basically, if one uses Vista, then they are just screwed if they want thier username at the top of the start panel? Sorry to be such a noob, I'm just getting started with the whole skinning thing.

OK, I have noticed that some skins dont roll up as they should. The bottom of the window sometimes does not roll up tight to the title bar. But, I have also noticed that if I load up several different blinds until I find one that does roll up correctly, some of the other blinds that did not roll up correctly before will start to roll up correctly. Has anyone else ran across this issue, and is there a fix for it? I have to go through this process repeatedly to get some of my favorite blinds to ro

Well, that seemed to solve the window resize issue, thanks. It did however bring up another issue....just my luck. Now when mousing over the menu items it causes the window to flash randomly, showing whats in the window behind it. I could probably live with this, though, as I more than likely wont be constantly moving my cursor over the menu items non-stop...

Wow, lots of neat stuff in the works! Question: If one were to purchase Object Desktop now, would one have to pay again to get the new programs as they come out? This seems to me like an important question for a Vista user, seeing as how you guys have so much planned for it this year.

OK, here you go. A little more info, too: I had this issue last year as well on XP as well as having it now with Vista. I am using the 60 day trial version of windowblinds at the moment. I do however plan on purchasing it if I can ever get this issue taken care of. Here is the system info from WB: Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 4.5 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 4.7 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.50 (build 102 x86 - Vist

Hey all, having an issue with WB. I have a program I use alot, called Zmud. When running windowblinds, whenever I mouse over the menu buttons at the top of Zmud, the whole Zmud window shrinks. Has anyone else had an issue like this, and is there a solution to this issue?

Hey all, I have a question about the user name in the start menu as it applies to skinning for vista. Mainly, how do you get the user name to show up? None of the XP skins I have display the user name in Vista. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am trying to make my first skin.

I'm running two 7600GS cards in SLI with Vista 32 bit. Go to nvidia nzone and get the 101.41 beta drivers. I have had no issues running them so far, been over a month. As far as the 64 bit deal, I went through the same thought process myself before I finally decided to go with Vista Home Premium 32bit. Not enough software out for 64bit yet. Also, I eventually plan to upgrade from Home premium to Ultimate in the near future, so I'd have to spend more money on an OS anyway.
