This is my first post; I've played a few games and for all I know there is a feature for this already.

I'm hoping that a couple options can be added: 

1) That you can move the camera (relative your angle) up/down and right/left by simply moving the mouse to the edge of the screen, as it is in other strategy games which are top down. Currently it seems you either need to track a ship or zoom out, move mouse to where you want to zoom in, and then zoom into that space. It feels like it would be smoother if it just moved with the mouse when the mouse hits the edge of the screen.

2) It would also be nice if there was an option to disable the camera tracking a passing ship that moves under your mouse, as it gets annoying and is rarely wanted.  That said I do like that I can double click on a ship to track it, but I think having an additional option to make that a single click to track ships would be nice also as it can be difficult to double click on a small/fast ship.
