I started this a while back, and I've decided to finally post it.
This takes quite a bit of time...
(as one can see I didn't even finish assessing setting up and starting a game, let alone playing the game)
...so Im not sure when or how much more Ill be able to continue.
However, If I do, all such additions / expansions / updates will be placed into this thread, or into this post itself.
Lastly, please note, I check this account manually. I am not subscribed to any notifications.

E-UI-001.0-[#0001] - Not all options in all options menus are displaying their tooltips.
E-UI-002.0-[#0002] - “Hold Shift to Lock Tooltip” is not behaving as expected.
On holding shift tooltip display will still end if the cursor is moved “too far” away or off of the tooltip.
“Expected” = for as long as shift is held tooltip remains on screen.
- Civilization Creation - v1.51 - 7/8/23
E-UI-003.0-[#0003] - The “Biology”, “Cultural Affinity” and “Behaviors” lists can all be open at the same time.

Ideas
- User Interface - v1.51 - 7/8/23
I-UI-001.0-[#0006] - Allow for option to show tooltip of highlighted item on assignable button click.
I-UI-001.1-[#0007] - Allow for overlapping function of timed delay and forced instant display via assignable button.
I-UI-002.0-[#0008] - Generate tooltips for basic Civ info on hover over civ portrait
I-UI-003.0-[#0009] - Allow second tooltip to display on while shift keeps the first one locked, as this may allow players to have the ability to compare information from two sources if needed / desired.
(I have not checked, but I expect this would most likely be useful in comparing fleets a/o planets etc…
I-UI-004.0-[#0010] - Rather than using separate click points (icons) for “all” and “core” in the select civilization screen, utilizing the more universal “funnel” icon could be used to access a single point for all filter options, all, core, my creations, moded, downloaded, carbon based, crystalline, etc…
I-UI-004.1-[#0011] - Allow for saving of filter presets for quick access / switching
I-UI-005.0-[#0012] - Allow for optional “compact” view for choose civilization that only shows the civ name with a smaller icon of its flag / symbol. While not needed now, in 5 years when there will be 100s of player made civilizations, a more compact listing of all available races could optimize player experience.
I-UI-006.0-[#0013] - Allow for a small “lock” icon on player made civilizations that players could opt to use to act as a buffer against accidental changes / deletion.
- Civilization Creation - v1.51 - 7/8/23
I-UI-007.0-[#0014] - Add a “jukebox” to allow for full access and control of game music being played during the civilization creation process, because when you spend an hour creating your perfect civilization, the same music loop becomes… noticeable.
I-UI-008.0-[#0015] - That is a lot of custom portraits / logos, and that’s only going to grow. I assume they are listed by file name, but, can controls be added so that they can be listed / sorted by other methods? Name, creature type, even note tags if possible - thinking 5yrs into the future here.
I-UI-011.0-[#0016] - Allow for alphabetical sorting of starting star systems.
I-UI-009.0-[#0017] - Auto-highlight “Type Short Description of Civ…” for quick deletion / clearing of the field on player access.
I-UI-010.0-[#0018] - Please allow for Ctrl+V pasting in all civ creation text fields. Some players (read “I”) may have really bad spelling, so they may need to write their descriptions in a document on their desktop to have access to a spell checker, and then copy n paste it into place once all errors are corrected.
I-UI-012.0-[#0019] - When “rolling for more images” show how many rolls are left. (I ran out but didn’t know there was a limit)
I-UI-013.0-[#0020] - When “rolling for more images” allow for a “hold image” - that is an image that is not the final choice, but the one the player likes.
I-UI-014.0-[#0021] - I assume when “rolling for more images” is AI, so an option to mark an image as “more like this” would be fun for players.
I-UI-014.1-[#0022] - Also allow for the selection of any two images to be used to create a selection of hybrid images.
I-UI-015.0-[#0023] - Allow for the generation of specific civ characteristics separately (movie, portrait, description) in addition to the option to generate all items at once.
(I noticed / thought of this as I backed out of the portrait selection display only to find I could not get back into it to try again.)
I-UI-016.0-[#0024] - Allow for AI generated civ logos as well
I-UI-017.0-[#0025] - For “Map Theme - Select Custom Colors” show an “as in game” example map with the actual icons / colors selections being displayed.
I-UI-017.1-[#0026] - Allow for the saving of custom color creations.
I-UI-018.0-[#0027] - Should the home-world be slowly rotating? Can it? It would just be added eye-candy.
I-UI-019.0-[#0028] - Allow for the separation of home-world type and home-world display.
I-UI-019.1-[#0029] - Or if that would cause to much player confusion in game, allow minimal / sensible options - such as allowing “jungles” to look like either Tropical or Jungle.
I-UI-020.0-[#0030] - In “abilities” add a visual example along with the name of “Commander Ships” (Crime Ships, Science Ships etc…) for easy identification.
(As it is a visual thing, I found myself needing to click / select all of them one by one to see what they each looked like.)
