Hi, all,
It's a solid start for the game.
I would suggest to explore more dynamic battles. My thinking since first battles in Sins 1 were that once ships engage in combat they are incredibly static. Doesn't it make sense to have some movement of the ships based on their weapon arcs and new turret systems.
For example ship like KOL would benefit from frontal to side movement utilizing beam and having wider turrets exposure sideways.
As KOL (and capital ships are big) they should not move too much but can adjust and rotate around a target with slow speed tracking and movement. In the same logic smaller ships could move more to evade and try to circle the enemy.
Cariers could be very static when used from far-away. Javelis could adjust from far away for better lock and targeting visibility.
Flak frigates could pursue fighters in certain stance or have some evasive manuevers. Kodiaks could always pound enemies from a side or trying to close the distance fro more accuracy...
I understand that there is very fine balance between allowing the micro to be performed by the player and adding movement dynamics, but even now moving for most of the ships by micro is not presenting any huge improvement to targeting damage etc.
In short:
1. Dynamic battles based on turret/missile /projectile addition
2. Movement based on the class and size of the ship
3. Behaviour that is logical and would make sense tactically (not just random circling around the ships)
4. Auto movement from all fighting ships would creat reltive equilibrium but user interaction with ships can change that additionally
Thank you, I can't wait for next update.
