It seems I have been using the wrong abilities on my TR titans- I tended to go for composite mounts & High stress alloys. While you guys went for explosive shot and scattershot (i will try them next time i have titan).
Also, I like how Doci colonised that far terrain by sending scout first and queuing up multiple large square in gravity well so that AI militia would chase single scout, while his other scout/corvettes jumped in behind and focused on siege and LRF militia uninhibited. Then he simply colonised and put up x2 turrets to deal with the rest of militia.
I also liked how both players colonised the volc/ice planets by just focusing on siege/LRF militia and then building x1 turret and moving on to next gravity well, and letting turret kill of militia flak and LF's. I will try this in my games to get to those choke points quicker. * Seems like militia highly priorities turrets; even over constructors.
Doci's minefield strategy was neat. I will keep such strategy in back of mind when playing.
Both players tended to favor armour + hull upgrades and, even ballistics over the laser weapon tech; Very interesting!?
Titans leveling on pirate base is worth nothing for other noobs. I also liked how Playerslayer denied Doci to level up his Titan on pirate base. Albeit, PlayerSlayer lost a lot of infrastructure perhaps it would've been game over if he didn't deny?
It's nice to watch two masters play.
