Is it possible to mod the current version of the game so that the extractors- both neutrals and planetary- have limited resources, after which they can only be made to produce by using a refinery?
With a lot of ability modding, it *might* be possible. The thing is the only way I know of to get the extractor to stop building resources is to have it blow up, but then you could just build the extractor again which defeats the purpose.
Thanks Goa. It was a simple mod that I was hoping for. I suppose the alternative solution to the problems with refineries might be to adjust the market.
Maybe when the extractor blows up you could have it put a "buff" on the orbit object or whatever, that won't allow a new extractor to be built on it?
I wouldn't know the details on how to do it...but it might be possible, I dunno...
Actually you might be able to use the "Spawn extractor" buff to produce a neutral extractor that can't be captured (that was actually a glitch when they first added that parameter). So yes I guess it would be possible with a lot of ability modding.
