I have a group of six brand new custom maps designed for 5v5 that I am almost ready to release. Five of those six maps have five different types of possible starting arragnements:
Random
Staggered -- 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2
3-3-2-2 -- 1-1-1-2-2-1-1-2-2-2
Suicide -- 1-1-2-1-1-2-2-1-2-2
Team Together -- 1-1-1-1-1-2-2-2-2-2
I can release five separate maps, one for each potential starting arrangement for those five maps (26 maps total in the pack) or pick a starting arrangement for each of those five maps and release a pack of 6 maps or perhaps two starting arrangements for the maps (pack of 11 maps).
What do you guys think I should do? The issue is whether or not it would be burdensome to have your Galaxy Forge folder and in-game list clogged up with maps. At the same time it would be nice if game hosts could pick which starting arrangement they want. Some people would prefer to play with all five teammates starting together and some people would want random starts and others the suicide start. Would anyone have a problem if I released a pack of 26 maps with 20 of them being variations of the same map?
