i ony have the original SoaSE, and i was wondering if there were any mods compatible with the latest release, v1.181.
so far i see none, but this is persuading me to get entrenchment.
also, which mods are up to date? its kinda hard to tell.

i looked at the Distand Stars mod and it seems to be for only entrenchment. am i wrong?
No you are not wrong, we kinda had to leave vanillia in the dust for many reasons (time/focus on Entrenchment/massive changes betweeen Vanilla and Entrenchment, etc.) we do plan on getting back to it soon, but with more and more people getting Entrenchment there may be less and less demand for Vanilla, Entrenchment brings way so much to the floor.
A Distant Stars modder
We're not out yet, but Dawn of Victory's first release is 100% going to be for vanilla. Of course, by the time we finish it everybody'll probably have Diplomacy and think even an Entrenchment version would be old.
I think Entrenchment brings some stuff to the table but porting stuff over is a huge hassle and I'm actually surprised so many mods have permanently switched.
its because there was so much more we could do that it was just natural, the irony is that we have to go back an disable certain features to get it to work with vanilla
