Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain -> Sins modding

Hello people.

I was wondering if anyone remembers a game called Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain (released in 1996) as i could use some help. I want to access its ship models to create a mod for sins. Does anyone know how to do access them?

Although Ive been modeling the ships in maya myself

Oh yeah, Pax Imperia....really nice game...I played it often with my friend over network - okay, sometimes it crashed to desktop without any warning...

 

I keep my fingers crossed that you will find some people who could help you!

 

And if you have a playable version of your mod, I would also be happy to test if you want

I´ve just found the old CD....I will play in the evening

 

Thanks for remind me of this game

 

Should I make some pics? Or do you have the game after all these years?

Yeah I have the game. Its my all time best space RTS ever. Although my disc was scratched to death many moons ago. I found a torrent of the game and now i use that.

 

CrazyJoe try and find a way to access the shipdata file as the cd version isnt corrupted and should not appear as &@~~### (computer language) stuff.

I love that game.  I pull it out and play it periodically.  Great, simple, and fairly fast paced!  Was disspointed they didn't come out with a Pax III.

 

At any rate, I didn't think they used true 3d models in that game.  Weren't they 2d?

Well i think most people that like space strategy like that game and it never gets old.

Ok i want an honest opinion about these two Battleship pics. One is the original photopic from Pax and the other is my maya replica.

Anyone know if there is a sort of manual to do the coding for sins as in the weapons shields etc? as i dont have a clue.

 

like this little beast and its only 3.8k polys??
