I noticed that on the front of the box it says "Games for Windows" which in my experience means it uses Windows Live for multiplayer. Having UaW (Universe at War) I would have to say WL makes SoE look good. Having to pay a monthly fee to unlock all modes of multiplayer was a great way to piss off a lot of people. So my question is does Sins actually use Windows Live and if it does are you limited with a basic subscription (free sub).
As far as LAN goes UaW has a limiter for 30ms I believe(could be lower), where if the ping is above 30ms then the game will not appear on the session screen. My other question would be is there a ping limiter for LAN games. Since when ever I goto a LAN party or I host one I use a wireless connection, since both myself and my friends don't want 20 25ft CAT-5 cables zig-zagging everywhere across the room. While using a wireless network I can never achieve a stable ping under 30ms.
If these questions are already answered in another thread, link away. I looked through the Multiplayer forums and I could not find anything. Thanks for your replys in advance.
