Problem is that this doesn't win you the war. Look at Israel. They are extremely good at singling out and eliminating terrorists, and it still is not enough. The same here. Still, that doesn't mean you shouldn't at least try. So yes, I'm glad this operation was a success and that no 'innocent' bystanders were killed in the process.
These stats are rather meaningless without the other side of the story. I.e. how many people have been kidnapped, killed, injured, how many bombs exploded, the score of the terrorists/freedom fighters/criminals so to say. My guess is that those numbers are not so good, in which case it might indeed be better to say nothing at all.
