Thank you for the feedback, the video link didn't work on my end though, Ill try to surmise this for the team, but its also valuable to see what others think of the suggestion
Yeah the forum doesn't seem to allow clicking on external links so you would have to copy the link and paste it in the browser which works. So hyped! I'm buying it first thing when it comes out on steam. Have you thought of sponsoring big youtuber channel with over 1 million subscribers to advertise this trailer perhaps a big Twitter account with large followers to post a simple tweet like "I can't wait to try out this RTX4 Space game. So hyped" or something like that. That would give this game more exposure and

Because
Why not shift right click to give the bombers a secondary target to kill after the first one? Sins II's damage ticks way faster than Sins I's did. That said, I can see your suggestion being useful for spreading debuffs like you mention. I'm just not sure how many of those we'll actually have.
Because the shift right click means you have to take time to select half of your bombers
There are a lot of uses for it. In Rebellion I have 650 bomber squadrons in my Advent Fleet, and it instantly zaps any capital or even Titan ship in one pass. Having 650 on one target no matter how beefy it is, is overkill so Shift G would be helpful. You could divide the target into 2, so 325 bombers on one target and 325 bombers on another, effectively increasing the kill ratio to 2 capital ships or titans per second. I know that focus fire is useful in so many instances, and I focu
So much good stuff, thanks. Way too much for me to address here but I assure you its being read, collected, and discussed. Some of these points were / are already in progress and some have already made it to the new public test build (e.g. being able to build ship items on the fly). The main thing I want to point out for modders is we have a programmer entirely focused on generating a schema for use in vs.code etc. No mo
Dear Devs, I was wondering if it's possible to create a new attack command feature for ships in this game similar to what is in Supreme Commander Forged Alliance does. What this attack command can do is > Select any ship units > Hold Shift > Right Click on Targets > use Shift + G . It is perhaps the most useful command function in Supreme Commander FA because it allows each individual unit you have selected in your army, to attack each unit target independe
@Unikraken what about the possibility of a singular unique vessel having veterancy? For example Titan ships which are limited in the game, gaining unit veterancy that continues the longer it survives in the game? In supreme commander: forged alliance forever which is the biggest gaming community aside from Sins. The supcom modders introduced a mod with unit veterancy in the game which was hilarious and fun.

I see, thank you for responding @RammaStardock . According to Smarti12, squadrons are pretty laggy right now, would that be true? I'm a huge Advent player, and my usual strategy is 600 bomber squadrons in Sins Rebellion but that causes the game to be really laggy and pretty much unplayable due to the game's limitations which frustrated me constantly. I
Actually, Advent culture boosting shield regeneration within their culture was a useful ability because if you combined that with Synergy and 5 point defenses, hanger shield boost, each point defense would have 1,700 shield hit points combined with fast shield regeneration, meaning that those 5 point defense would be like the equivalent of 3 to 4 capital ships by themselves. If an advent play got 5 point defense up and running early game with culture shield regeneration boosting syner
Your specs aren't too bad. :) Would you have a hot minute to try spamming like over a 1000 bomber squadrons and engage a fight with AI opponent to test performance? And if you can, can you test both 1440p and 4k perchance? You don't have to do any of this, but I'm honestly curious about the limits that we can push Sins 2 to. You're probably right, that RTX 2070 and i7-10875H was likely thermal throttling along with screenrecording taking up system resources.
I can tell that it's handling way more entities than Rebellion could ever handle so it's definitely a massive improvement, and the youtuber is also using a recording software while playing Sins 2 which could impact performance but I just noticed that as soon as he zooms in to the massive fleet, it started to stutter alot. It could be hardware related or it could be game performance related. I'm not sure but I hope having a powerful pc will mean Sins 2 will never lag?
I'm getting excited about this game. What made Sins Rebellion even better than ever was the amazing community of modders who added exciting stuff to an already pretty cool game. I especially love the Mods for Sins E4X mod and the Stargate Invasion and Stargate Races mod. Thank you for your amazing work Volt. And big thank you to the Sins Developers for making a Sins 2 game that we all wanted. You are all legends :)
An update as I've done more digging: I realized that shield mitigation isn't a percentage. It's a flat reduction on incoming damage. That actually does quite a bit to keep small arms from scratching capital ships. It's probably quite intentional that capitals have 8 mitigation and flak frigates deal 7. It also means missiles are double-dipping on that damage reduction. <div class="in
I think a more apt comparison would be StarCraft I to StarCraft II. When SC2 first came out, a lot of people were expecting a lot more "innovation" but that really didn't happen until later since, really, the goal of SC2 (wings of liberty) was really to bring the game to a whole new engine. Sins II is a whole new game. Written from scratch to be a core neutral, 64-bit game. Unlike Sins I which was essentially frozen base
No problem, I understand. In your opinion, do you think I could potentially install the game from Epic Version and then use Steam "add non-steam game" to library and play it via Steam proton? As I'm a linux user and have been playing Rebellion on my linux operating system for years using steam proton.
Hello, I am hoping a developer see this post because I have a question about the game's performance. Some time ago I asked if there was going to be that 2gb limitation and was answered no, Sins II was going to be a massive improvement but I was recently watching a youtube video. And at one point, the game started to stutter when there was a massive fleet in a gravity well fighting. https://youtu.be/kZK2hOtn6ag?t=1034 My q
So your hoping or guessing that they might test this?
Ah ok, I understand. The thing is though, this Epic deal sort of cuts a portion of potential consumer base who use Linux. I just thought beta testing Sins 2 on steam proton is a golden opportunity, because if it can run on Steam proton, then the game can be run on virtually any platform without the developers needing to do additional work porting from one platform to another. I was thinking of buying the pre-release technical preview but it's risky because potentially using th
Who knows, your mod could be more intuitive and/or easier to use than the official modding and map creation tool :) I still have a few problems using the Rebellion Galaxy Forge.
@Yarlen Would there be any chance of Sins 2 technical preview being on Steam? My main reason for this query is Link
That's amazing Eveline! I would be very excited to try it out when Sins 2 is complete and polished :)
Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion had the same issue. I made a post a few weeks ago about this AI issue. Thread here The AI is strong at the beginning but starts to waver or give up mid to late game depending on some factors. And as soon as you destroy the AI fleet, the AI seems to have given up and doesn't quickly rebuild its fleet. I remember when the Entrenchment and Diploma
