Thats just sick and makes me glad I dont live in the USA. Course, chances are fucked up judges elsewhere in the west could have ruled the same. As long as you pay for the subscription fee and dont disrupt the service I say you could do anything you want to inside the WoW gameworld, although engaging into PvP with a speed hack/teleportation hack would obviously be something I would'nt condone.

So the day has come finally, July 1st, the day I attempt to undo years of MMO gaming with a console game. The plan is to add Wii-Fit into my daily routine, coupled with a few other physical exercises, such as taking up Wing-Chun again, jogging, swimming and doing some old fashioned muscle workouts at the gym. Funny to think about it, but it seems like World of Warcraft is one of the things that have had the biggest impact on my life up to now. In that it ruined 2 years of stay

http://scp.indiegames.us Its kinda difficult to "navigate" (as per the norm with anything opensource). But there are links to a few projects that are based upon the open freespace engine.
Timesplitters 2 is the best FPS i've ever played on its multiplayer & challenge modes alone. I played as the Gingerbread man or Calamari.Goldne oldies like Doom or Golden Eye were great fun. But Timesplitters wins for FPS, hands down. I still play it occassionally when i'm feeling nostalgic.
I cant recall any other game that lets you play the gingerbread man.. :-) Wish more games let you play that hero ;) /agree tho, great game! =)

All the damn fire really ruins my scope abilities when I try to snipe from afar... 4-5 pyros (from both sides) in a big cluster along with friendly and enemy players.. so much flames, hard to see anything.
You can blow up what players have worked months for, but you can't call them names?
Probably to make the game allowed in the US... "Violence" ok -- language not ok.

The good thing about games such as eve and AoC PVP Enabled servers (and the old UO before carebears destroyed it... imagine, carebears destroying worlds :( ) is that,, if people annoy you, you have the option to kill them (aoc) or destroy them (eve) :-)

Bioshock had a really good demo. 45 minute time limit, but a lot of what the full game had. Speaking of game reviews... check out the latest alone in the dark or Driv3r and wonder what Atari did with those who gave the games good ratings....
instantcomment 2Sounds like a great game.. just the kind I want to play... Unfortunately I want the Metal Gear Solid 4 Playstation 3 bundle they released in Japan. There's a Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle in the US too, it's just not gunmetal grey.
Saw on Kotaku the US MGS4 Bundle is the 80GB with PS2 Compatibility. Luckily, in Europe we get a 40GB version that is not compatible. Guess I'll still have to wait for my MGS4 fix...

Yea, Radar detectors are illegal here in Norway as well.. unfortunately. So far I've avoided any speed-traps, but I guess its only a matter of time. Course, many of the roads here are under video surveilance so I guess it wont do much good with a detector anyway.

Hmm. lets recap. 1. Release game for XBOX 360 2. Wait a year, but announce game for PC meanwhile 3. Announce game will have a very restrictive DRM to get a lot of negative 'buzz' around the game. 4. Release game 5. Wonder why the game flops at retail? 6. Remove DRM 7. Notice that the game does not suddenly become a best seller 8. Decide that DRM had no impact on lack of sales, and blame pirates. 9. Release next game on console
If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions about these blogs. I am on the GC2 forums and it is showing in Off-Topic/PC Gaming. I know about SDs sites being linked up and all, but what I was really interested in was finding what sight you start these blogs at or if it is through the create a blog option in Impulse? Thanks and I'll keep an eye out for your blog
www.joeuser.com is the place you can create your blog from.

stpdi: It was meant to clearly illustrate that someone doing something very bad can not be forgiven just because they change their ways (to gain from it) and do something good later on. Like Metallica or the recording industry. As in: Their motive is not to be better, but to give the impression of it, to gain from it.
I have the emulator too but it's nothing like booting up an Amiga on a 22" screen!!Maybe we need an Amiga thread here, wonder how many "converts" there are on these forums??
Hopefully many, you know what they say "Great minds think alike" :-) I believe Stardock would have been a nice company to have supporting the amiga back in the days (and still), they seem to have the same spirit that surrounded it :) Sorry for the derail btw. Nothing is mandatory. It is a distribution platform. After the product(s) are distributed, you are free to delete the application. Do you complain that you are "forced" to use a web browser (usually Internet Explorer) to download game patches, then "forced" to use a unarchiver such as Winzip or Winrar to extract the files before finally being "forced" to use Windows Installer, WISE, Installshield or similar to install said patch?

Oh.. Deuteros: The Next Millenium (?).. now theres a great game! I still remember manually decoding that first transmission you got from the aliens or whatever it was.. Using my "skills" from the Microprose game "Covert Action" :-) Unfortunately my A1200 Tower died on me and I never got the "time" to fix the HD, I guess its just teh controller, since the rest works ok.. Luckily I got an A500+A590HD and a CD32 still working + AIAB on the PC (Amiga in a Box, Emulator).
We do not like DRM, but it is everywhere, are you now going to boycott everything with DRM?
As much as possible, yes. Digital Restriction Management is hostile to customers. And remember: books dont come with DRM, nor does a chair you can sit in, the sun shining down from the sky and the fresh air you breathe as you read it :-) Edit: not YET anyway.

Think my first personal computer game was something on the Philips Videopac G7000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Videopac-pete-screen-800px.jpg) back in 1982 or thereabouts :-) cant remember what game it was.

The fact that publishers backed away from the evil that was starforce should show the consumers (AND CUSTOMERS!) that if we rally together against a common foe we CAN change the publishers behaviour towards us, and perhaps one day in the future more companies will behave like Stardock does, or even better run out of business. Publishers behave in many regards like RIAA and the rest of the recording industry, they view us with contempt and behave accordingly. Customers should remember
Holy crap, you guys pay the equivelent of 90 USD for console games? That is robbery.
Even better :-) You'd be happy to know that Bioshock for the XBOX 360 currently is sold for 105 USD in Norway. The Playstation 3 ... 693,15 USD XBOX Elite - 576,31 USD Frontlines Fuel of War Special Edition (PC) - 91USD \o/ I just love the 'dongle experience' for 90-100 USD per game. The thing I can not understand about the con$oles is that
