drugfreeboy, regabond, razmuffin, majinwar360, Chrono (or something), DI_epoch, DI_Reaper, dreadgnarr, imphat, lol a few more I can't remember...we'd be up for premade action (usually only 3 or 4 of us are on) All over the US :P
I refuse to repeat myself. Deal with it.
Well with that sort of attitude most people are gonna refuse to give a shit what you say...I just went browsing through that thread a bit and in the few seconds I spent there I saw multiple replies by you on multiple pages. Do you honestly expect us to go browsing through all that? I don't know if you are right about this particular issue or not because I d
Nice, lookin forward to that stuff
Looks like mods may be sanctioned...so we might not see a "nude" mod. Although thats at the bottom of my wish list anyway.
lol meta was that yoda talk? You shoulda gone with "From around here I think you are not" cmon dude!!
no dude, I'm not upset about you calling me out specifically or anything. You didn't call me out. I'm upset that you are saying that the people who aren't bitching and whining in a childish manner have no back bone. *edit* for the record..a lot of guys who aren't bitching and complaining are suggesting new features and stuff, but they are doing it in a more mature way and with the understanding that there are business processes that have to be followed when it c
Yeah I gotta make a confession...I have no back bone because I didn't bark, complain, and whine at stardock.
meh if the guy met these other people randomly and didn't have voice...then I don't think its such a huge deal that he titled his game no premade. If they were confident in each other though, they probably could of taken on a premade team with voice.
If I understand this correctly, gpg was the developer and stardock was the publisher, but stardock also handled most or all of the multiplayer networking stuff for this game. Getting a multiplayer game going when I first bought this game was a major headache, but now it's pretty simple. Kudos to stardock for admitting they had a problem and fixing it. It does seem like a lot of the features we (the whole community) are asking for are things that GPG would have to get involved wi
What did they do? Their horn of battle build? Who won?
monks are pretty darn good. I don't see that as a problem either. Having monks on the field is more interesting than having a bigger mana bar :P
I also think this would be easilly abuseable and break a lot of the map designs that are out there now. (Crucible especially).
I think leaving out magic boosters and magic mitigation was intentional...it would take a LOT more thought on balance issues to incorporate that sorta stuff into the game.
Okay I preach this all over the place, but once again...TB's influence on a game is more than his ability to kill enemy DGs. He kills enemy creeps better than any other DG that I can think of off-hand. If your enemy has a bunch of giants with 400hp vs your bunch of giants with 2000 hp, then your giants are gonna plow through to their citadel. People always neglect to think about that when they talk about TB's balance. I think GPG was completely aware of that though.
well imo, robust clan support is more important than robust modding support so I like stardock/gpg's priorities right now. About modding though, I'm still curious about how they are gonna support it. Frogboy mentioned something about "sanctioned" mods...What does that mean?
Make them free. Or make them 3 dollars per demigod. Release em in pairs, and make sure that anyone who doesn't buy em can play with people who did. Give modders more tools to make custom demigods.
There will almost certainly never be a map "editor". The maps in Demigods are huge 3D models unto themselves. I think modders could still make maps with an SDK but I don't see a future where someone is making a m
That was an interesting article to read. Me and my clan mates were talking about how starcraft 2 doesn't seem much different than the original, even after all this time, but we figured that it because they didn't want to change it too much and end up pissing off the hardcore guys.
Heh, what design? It's just a featureless and barren arena.
As it was designed to be! I think its a pretty cool map.
Yeah it would be nice if this was possible.
lool
What makes rook bad on prison? His towers can take up half the map and cover both lanes pretty easy.
Hmm, I've never really had a crazy enough game as a TB to try investing all that into him, and I usually just upgrade our creeps at that point. You're right though, you can increase a TB's hp and defense all day but there isn't a whole ton u can do to increase his dps besides having the staff of renewal and maybe buying storm bringer to go with it. He still has a ton of area dps though.
Maybe I just bought this item too late game the one time I tried it...but it didn't seem to have much effect. I guess losing 400 mana + the aoe damage is a bigger hit if I made this my first or second item purchase.
lol i missed the description, but I knew you were being sarcastic. I thought it was kinda funny.
Well Greek and Roman mythology isn't really offensive to anyone. It gets used in games all the time. God of War? Age of Mythology? I don't think many people would call Greek mythology a modern religion, and we were just saying avoid references to modern religions.
