It seems to me in the first week it was mostly 3vs3 or 4vs4 (IIRC) but then it seems like they patched it to be exclusively 2vs2 since then. But this is a bit hard to be sure about since they don't relase the patch notes AFAIK (dev journal posts are not patch notes). I'd be surprised though if they didn't already stealth patch Pantheon to be 2vs2 exclusively. But whatever the reason, forced 2vs2 in Pantheon sucks really badly. They need to put i
the patch that is coming monday is supposed to also fix that. So no need to (un)lock them all. If there are still problems after that, it would be a pretty good idea.
No, the patch coming out Monday is not going to fix that unless they add new Favor-fixing code to it that is not in the beta version; which they have given no indication that they are going to do. I agree. From the dev video it became clear that somehow the devs got the very bad idea in their head that AI bots should be in multiplayer games in order to pander to newbies. But that idea is ridiculous and needs to be flushed down the toilet immediately. Bots being in the game isn't going to help newbies nor anyone. If newbies wanna fight bots, they have 'singleplayer.' Heck, that's all there is to singleplayer anyways so they might as well use it for the o

I agree, just unlock all Favor items temporarily for everyone in every game, until they fix the bugs causing Favor issue. This should have been done in Day 0. It makes no sense why it still hasn't been done over 2 weeks after the game shipped.
First, yes, while the game works fine for most people. There are a significant number of people who are having problems connecting through the built in multiplayer match making. While I may seem to focus a lot on those issues, in the long run, this is a game that will live and die on its ability to sustain a MP community and it is important that people know that we are taking their issues seriously. But these hours aren't about "finishi
Don't be selfish. Can we drop with the favor stuff being borked? There are still many people who can't play Pantheon or Skirmish. I'd say fix the Favor LAST.
And their $40 to buy the game carries more clout than the same $40 of those of us like myself who want our Favor fixed, why, exactly? Besides, the OP of this thread implied that Favor would be fixed, but it isn't.
In the new beta update, I have still experienced the 0 Favor points bug and hence being unable to buy any Favor items; in both Custom games and in Pantheon. I was also having problems identical to this before installing the beta update. Ergo I must conclude that this beta update did not fix the Favor problems and therefore would not solve the Favor problems even if it was made official either. Please make a new, additional update to fix the Favor prob
Well thats different...
Not really. I've had the exact same thing happen several times in Pantheon games I've entered. What the OP posted isn't new or unique by any means.
I agree with the OP that there is no reason why Demigod should provide, as it now does, missing and lackluster features that make Steam or other such services way better because they have them and they implemented them right. Really, this is inexcusable, as the OP rightly points out. It is common sense to have put these things in way before the game shipped.
Thanks for the good insights, everyone. Seems my biggest problem was conventional thinking of "cap every flag that needs to be capped and hold every flag that needs to be held" even when I don't have effective ways to do so. I shall try the more sensible thinking outlined in this thread instead.
So then I should stop trying to cap or hold flags on my own when playing as Regulus, right? The thing is it seems natural to do that because if I don't go to that flag right away, then no one else will since my allies are already busy capping other flags. Therefore it seems like a tradeoff in that the enemy can get more flags capped initially. On the other hand, being alone as I cap or try to hold flags causes all the other problems mentioned. I
Is that realy gonna work though, because QoT will just absorb all the damage, Oak will just make himself invincible etc...and I'll still get owned at the flag dispute?
Is Regulus underpowered when it comes to capping and holding flags? Maybe I'm wrong and if so, correct me, but it seems to me that he is based on my current understanding of the game. Whenever I see an enemy hero coming near a flag I'm guarding or trying to cap as Regulus, I must retreat lest I get owned. In fact the official weakness of him is listed as 'weak in melee combat'. But since the game is largely based on capping and holding flags, doe
If this happens to you, how are you "ahead"? And why aren't you doing it to your enemy?
We were ahead in levels and money but they got to the flags without us noticing due to the FOW making it hard to notice. We ended up doing it to the enemy too in order to win the game. But I realized it was a mistake to let them do it to us first, twice. This happened to us on the map Mandala in a
Here’s how you make use of this feature:
I checked the box in the diagram in order to make use of that feature. However, despite doing that and having clicked on "Check for updates" a million times, Impulse still nevers lists the beta update or gives me the opportunity to install it. What is the solution, after checking the box described in the diagram, so that the update will appear and install itself?
Let me know if you're still experiencing problems. You shouldn't get negative favor points (but you will have to keep rebuying the items until we get the GPG fix).
For me I can use the "keep rebuying the items" workaround in Pantheon, however, in Custom games when I Host a game it still lists my Favor as 0 every time and it's impossible to buy any Favor items. Although it does show me as having Favor points and I
You aren't supposed to push through the defense towers until later in the game when you have levelled up and have skills to increase your range, damage, armor etc. and also units designed to kills towers from safe ranges like catapult dinosaurs. In other words: stay away from the towers that are killing you. If they are killing you, it's because you are not supposed to be in their range.
Nothing is wrong, under any circumstances, with sniping an enemy: that's what the skill exists for. If you don't wanna 'lose' your kills to sniping allies then you should get the job done faster. It's extremely ridiculous to complain about that. Dracil is spot-on with his debunking of your complaint about that.
Right now I'm waiting on their response on whether or not I will be able to get a refund if they still don't fix the multiplayer. THey said if they re-enable my account then I can no longer get a refund in the future...so I'm like WTF! That means you don't have to fix you broken game and I'll be stuck. So they have me over a barrel either I return the game and get 85% of my money back (since I have to pay shipping). Or
Contrary to what it says in the OP, Queen of Thorns is definitely OP - especially on Dominate - because she's darn near impossible to kill thanks to absorbing all the damage and hence can cap flags constantly and its hard to do anything about . Not OP: Regulus, Unclean Beast, and Rook.
I've nearly lost some games that my team was winning in for the whole game simply because the enemy team stole some portals near my base and they had catapults and giants coming out of them. It seems to me this is an extremely powerful strategy because the number of creeps right at your Citadel can get quite overwhelming very fast. I want to know if this is the single most powerful strategy in the game, or not? If not, what is more powerful?
It has a 1/4 chance of picking the same as you anyways since there are only 4 characters for it to choose from. Of course that might be higher if players don't choose to play as all 4 equally. But the point is it makes all the sense in the world that it's gonna give you identical characters often. The better question is: why is Pantheon 2vs2 now instead of 3vs3 like it used to be, or 4vs4? Then this stuff won't matter so much. An even better
I agree with the OP that the "tournament system" pairing you with random strangers and all the horrors they bring with them, is the epitome of dumb. There needs to be an option to make your own team before entering Pantheon.
