Including the betas and the RC's I've been running it for over 2 years now. Still have not run into a problem that wasn't easily solved, which is way more than I can say for XPSP2. That thing gave me all kinds of problems. I'm still quite happy with the Vista OS and look forward to many more years of effortless computing.

Seven months later, five systems built by myself all running Vista, installed by myself, still sailing along without a single hitch. I couldn't be happier about my switch to Vista.

Hello..... Would all of you who think this is such a bad article care to stop the name-calling and attacking the messenger and put some meat behind your objections to the content of his message? I happen to agree with a good portion of it and would like to know what is so bigoted, moronic, ignorant, ill-informed, etc. ad nauseum about it. If only there was some "meat" behind the content of his message, then perhaps.

I decided to cover all the bases and went out and purchased the Toshiba HD-A20 HD-DVD player and the Sony BDPS300 Blu-Ray player as well as a HD PVR/Receiver from my satelite provider that gives me all presently available HD channels and the ability to record in HD (this particular PVR/Receiver model has a 180 gig hard drive for about 25 hours worth of recording and will allow me to record as many as two different shows and watch a third show all at the same time.) The two players with

I've been running Vista permanently on all my home systems since the first Release Candidate. I'm not sure what the problem is out there with so many users. I had no issues when upgrading my 5 systems. No hardware needed to be upgraded. Vista drivers were available as of it's official release for all my devices. Now I did find UAC a bit tiresome so I elected to shut it off. But that was no more difficult to shut off than say, shutting off Messenger was in XP. I also shut off the S

Does anyone remember the old 60 minutes Point/Counterpoint? With Shana Alexander and James Kilpatrick? I thought that was Dan Akroyd and Jane Curtain.

Yes, you guys are right about that! I wonder why we have to import it too. Just to clear things up a bit, the company, Menu Foods, that makes and distributes over 95 different brands of pet foods in the United States and Canada is a Canadian based company. So, it is not the U.S. that is importing wheat from China, but Canada. Being a Canadian and a pet owner I am twice concerned about the whys and hows. I have friends here in Canada who are pet owners

I was appalled when I read the story. My wife and I would be devastated if we were to lose our Golden Retriever in such a needless and preventable way. Like you, I hope that the dog food industry starts being regulated. I make my own food using this product http://www.urbanwolf.cc//

What I disliked about the fixes was how UAC was turned back on, when I made a point of turning if OFF! I hate the damned thing and I wish MS would stop changing my settings on every update just because they feel it's for the best.

Like most here I don't bother with the news, particularly from the chronic liars i.e. Coulter, Williams, O'Reilly, Drudge, Limbaugh and FOX in general. I depend on more honest and reliable sources for my news, mainly my senses. If I wake up and I see that the planet and I are still here, well, it's a good news day.

When I am feeling ambitious in the kitchen, which occurs about 3 times a week, I create wonderfully delicious gormet meals from scratch. They consist of decadently flavorful sauces of cheese, wine, or truffles. Sometimes a rich curry is my fancy with mounds of raisan filled cous-cous. Heaping helpings of my self-prepared penne, spaghetti, fettucine and linquine with rich red sauces infused with lots of red wine are often my choice. And my homemade desserts....mmmm, don't get me started; cust

But taking the money away from the people who have demonstrated a knack for creating wealth to give it to people who have proven that they simply consume is not good for a society IMO. If somebody's spending it, (those 'simply consume' types you mentioned), then somebody must be making it, (probably one of those 'knack for creating wealth' types you referred to). Seems like the balance is maintained anyway.

Personally I have Vista Ultimate on 2 systems, running spectacularly and Vista Home Premium on 2 dedicated Media Center PC's running spectacularly. At work the entire company now upgraded to Vista (15 computers in all, 6 running Ultimate spectacularly, 9 running Business spectacularly. All-in-all I'd have to say Vista has been trouble free and yes, spectacular.

See, this is where compassion kills common sense. We could eliminate border problems on the southern border by destroying all paved roads 30 miles in, deforesting the entire area, and blasting anything that moves. Sure this would eliminate over 58,000 square miles of land, but it's mostly desert anyway, and who needs San Diego? We can make up for the lost land space by exterminating Californians and relocating all dislocated Americans to the unaffected portion of Calif

The most annoying thing about Windows Vista so far is all the damned whiners. That is one of the most uninformed comments I have seen in a long time. I'm not going to get into the reasons why I have had issues with Vista on my home pc as I have shared that info in other threads. I am using it on a couple of systems at work, at the present time and I will tell you that from the perspective of an enterprise class domain a
