Yeah, I did not think there was any out there. Being that every race has its own tech tree it would have been nice to have a layout of what they are instead of having to go ingame to look at them. I'm just one of those types who likes to read all manuals, instructions, etc... before I play a game.

Is there a downloadable manual or tech tree layout for Twilight out there? If so, where? I haven't found one.
Actually, I believe he only asked if he should bother getting DA...
I own the original Galactic Civ 2, and even though I don't play it all that often at all, I was looking into buying the TotA expansion. Then I realized that there was the DA expansion and I was wondering if I should bother buy DA. Any help would be appreciated.
RazorRick: We DO read the forums and will fix bugs that are reported. Don't discourage him from buying the game and getting accustomed to it. Besides, he may find it useful to spend some time playing DA first anyway. Because Fiveburgs is new to Stardock games he may not know about our level of after-the-sale support. By telling him not to buy the game, you may inadvertently cause him to think that we have no intention of fixing the issue you are reporting, which th
Hmmmm, my game (digital download) just upgraded from 1.8 to 1.91. I'll start a new one and see if the bug is still there.
Answer: In previous versions of the game (before the Twilight expansion pack), research costs stayed the same throughout the game. The problem was that people could easily attain so much research per turn that they would get eventually get all the techs. This had the potential to become even worse in Twilight, since they added a new, larger universe. To combat this, in Twilight, they made a tweak so that every tech you researched would make the unresearched ones increase in c
There is one MAJOR bug. A possible game killing bug. Tech research will double for no reason. Example: Say it takes 10 turns to research 'weapon theory'. Well lets say on my turn I buy 5 research facilities then click the turn button. Ok, now it should only take about 5 turns for the research to complete. But NO! When you look at the time it takes to research 'weapon theory' it is now 20 TURNS. I don't know why this happens, it seem random how and when it does. I have noti
How can you notice a bug, when you don't even know what we're talking about?
Well someone had to notice the bug without 'knowing what we're talking about'. Thats why this thread even exists. I was just asking for a quick breakdown to save the time of reading two pages of thread. Now that I know what we're talking about. I actually thought it was done purposely to have every races individual tech tree have a slow down point (or a new breakthrough point th
What exactly does bug do? I bought the game a week ago (digital download) and it has already been updated to version 1.9.1 from 1.8 when I bought it. I dont know if that fixed the bug you are speaking of......cuz I haven't noticed a bug. What does it do again?

I hear you. The last 4x game I played was 'Birth of the Federation'. The last game that I really have had sleep loss over was back in the day when StarCraft first came out. I love this game. It is kinda like Full Contact Chess w/ a side of Axis and Allies and any Sci-Fi thing you are into.
Good question. I'm waiting too to start playing again (especially for the tech-bug fix)
What is the tech bug? I just started playing my first game of Twilight but haven't noticed anything yet
1. Try not to go beyond 18 billion people. Otherwise the planet starts getting really crowded and people get really angry.
Yup, I agree with this one. The first game I played on Twilight I had a colony with an 18 pop and 81% morale. I built a farm and when the pop hit 20 my Morale dropped to 53% for that planet. I was like wtf......an almost 30% drop in morale for 2 bil pop.....bull
Yeah, but how do I turn that on?
I've been experimenting with some custom races. Has anyone created a good "kill them all" race. If so could you tell me the stats
Thanx for the tips. I flipped my first planet yesterday….the Torians. I wonder if minor race influence affects major races. Do multiple Influence Starbases in a sector stack their affects? Can a Minor race flip a major?
I'm experimenting with trying for an 'Influence' win I have a few questions. How do u 'flip' a major or minor race. Does an influence starbase up the ammount of influence for a planet within its radius? If so how much. How many points of influence does an Inf starbase have? Do planets have a radius of influence like a starbase? It doesn't show one like a starbase when you click on it. Can spies be used to reduce another races influence? I am new to GalCiv2 and have a good u
I wish I knew. I just started a game and I can research that next
