toothache's revenge
yes, our orbit does vary, but the over-all effect is that we get steadily closer. as a matter of fact, from what i understand, every solar system is folding in on itself. all orbits are decaying. while this is happening, all other bodies are moving away from each other, solar systems, galaxys etc. which is a result of the big bang. no real point here. also, remember that a scientist can find a bone and from that one piece, extrapolate an entire new dinosaur that no-one has ever hear
when i was in school, we learned that the earth is in a decaying orbit with the sun. evidently, every trip around, we get about 4 inches closer to the sun. how scientists come up with some stuff like that, i'll never know, but there it is. i also learned that the sun is getting hotter all the time. eventually, it will grow in size so big that it will engulf the orbit of the earth. i bet global warming will be out of control when that happens. a movie i saw in school said th
i didn't think this was a free speech issue. i don't think it's a right, but showing yourself to be nerd who thinks he's funny, should be legal. just in case a girl might want to breed with this guy, her friends could talk her out of it, and have proof of what a waste of skin he is. this is not a free speech experiment, this is a dumb-ass who can't think all the way through a situation. i hate when people do something stupid and claim that it's bigger than all of us.
you know, i really could not believe how ridiculous this guys was. i hesitate to say that this is the height of stupidity, because you never know anymore. this kind of guy simply just needs his ass kicked. i don't call for violence one on one often, but this moron qualifies in my opinion. all i can say is that i feel lucky that i have a job where i choose what customers i will deal with. when i feel like i can't deal with someone, i just tell them that i don't feel like i
you know, i love my father very much. i have absolutely no way to express how i feel about him, there are no words. i never stopped and asked him how he felt about his father. strange, the things you never think of. thanks for the pic, happy fathers day, bfd.
sc, you missed it. i never said i thought it was a wrong choice, just that it was a choice. having sex with someone the same gender as you is not a natural biological need. you've heard it all before, but the reason for having sex, biologically, is procreation. blah, blah. i would think that gay being a choice would be a better seller for the thing. why take pride in something that just happened to you. make a choice, and stand behind the decision. that is some
i can't stand things like "people who think its a choice, are quite frankly morons on the issue". to any rational person, its obviously a choice. i really don't have anything against gays, but it doesn't matter what you think in your head, or who you are attracted to, if you act on it, you've made a choice. hard choice or the hardest choice. its still a choice.
there is more to it. but at the core, we are supposed to be governed by ourselves. we are supposed to go by what most of us want. the majority has a responsibility to think of and make allowances for the minority, uncle ben (not the rice guy) said it best. with great power comes great responsibility. in the end we are supposed to decide things by what most of us want, not by what some judge decides by himself in his chamber somewhere. not by people who think they know better tha
part of me likes this guy, i will definately be paying attention to him.
when it comes to voting on these issues, i do believe that the majority should rule. we had a vote in our city a few years ago about same-sex couples (or rather gay people) who work for our city. whether or not their partners should be able to recieve health benefits. the people voted no. one judge over turned the vote, saying that it wasn't constitutional to deny them benefits. we were set up as a majority rules country, and we make a
man, the other video with the lion attacking the guy on safari is pretty intense, too. thanks for the clips.
i've been watching and reading a lot over the last couple of days. don't know how i ended up here, but you have some very interesting people writing here. i hope to read more.
thanks for the welcome. i've read all of your posts now. you are a great storyteller, and like all the best, you leave us wanting to hear more.
free cake? where do i sign? man if it wasn't for this damn toothache. go army, and thanks to all of the people in the military who have the guts and the patience to baby sit us whiners.
i'm not a big quoter, but it seems to me that our country was founded as a religious nation. i believe that most of the founding fathers were christians who were fed up with people taking advantage of christianity. people using it for their own ends, in a lot of ways. they wanted to be able to worship in their own ways, without government or anyone else getting involved. in my mind, the founding fathers were being guided by something bigger than they were. during that moment in time
i love a story about a dog. sometimes more than stories about people.
be strong, it's worth it. i tried everything over the last few years, and what finally worked for me was cold turkey of all things. i carried a patch in the pocket of my jacket for a couple of weeks, but never used it. haven't smoked since jan 6., and i really feel better. not just a little, but tons. now i have quit drinking soda and six years since i had any alcohol started a diet two weeks ago. pretty soon i'll have nothi
