I like it the way it is, with Z-axis acknowledged but not explicit. For example, although it's 2-D, I've seen a ship fly 'over' a small asteroid. More importantly there's the ability to exit on any side of the gravity well and fly 'over' the star system to the next system. I really like this now I've thought a little, it gives a great feel and strategic implication of 3D, while retaining the simplicity of 2D.
Looks like it's bad news. I have an expired totalgaming sub - I have Galciv, plus ALtarian Prophecy, butnow the sub has expired: I can't get patches (although I can see them) I can't download anything, even games I owned through Drengin, deleted to make space, and now try to download again. I paid for those games - why take them away from me? If I ever need to re-install GalCiv I can't - an expired sub seems to mean you don't own it anymore. I emailed support, and
