I just read an article to do with the power of prayer. Apparently, tests have revealed that if people say a prayer 3 times a day for a sick friend, relative or even someone they don't know, then there is more likelihood of this person getting better. Its a pity it doesn't happen in reverse because there sure are some arseholes out there I'd pray to get rid of... I'm envious of the ability to cancel TV shows just by thinking of them. Again,

Hey, I have a few suggestions: 1. Texacom 2. Woodcom 3. Texas Towers 4. WTT (Woodland Telecommunications Towers) Hope these help the creative juices flow...
I grew up in the 60's & 70's, being the eldest of five children. My father was a lowly corporal in the Australian Air Force and my mother didn't start working in part-time jobs until my youngest sibling was about 6 or 7. Prior to then, just looking after us all was a full-time job for my mother. At about the same time, I started high school. My afternoons were spent picking up two of my brothers, catching the bus home with them (40 minutes each way
Thanks for all the responses, folks. I really appreciate that there are others 'out there' who think the way I do. My wife and I had been saying jokingly prior to the election that New Zealand and Canada were looking better every day. But we don't want to run away. We love our country, even if we don't like our government. The fact remains we need to be here to h
Well, I'm guessing if you are reading this, it may well be because of the title. I'm not pig-ignorant and I certainly wouldn't be proud of it if I were. But then again, if I were pig-ignorant, maybe I would be proud because I wouldn't know. Have I lost you yet? The thing is, I am Australian. In fact, I'm a proud Australian. I do my best to support Aust

I'm in love again. I can't tell you how many times I've fallen like this but it is at least in the hundreds. Most of the time, this is a fairly one-sided affair. Before any of you reading this start tutting and shaking your heads, I must confess this love is directed towards bands and/or musicians. This habit of falling in love with the virtually-unattainable bega
For those of you who don't know, the title above is from the legendary Easybeats song, Friday On My Mind. Considering I keep thinking today is Tuesday (due to a long weekend), it looks as though the idea of Wednesday is either going to completely bypass this week or I'm going to confuse myself even further tomorrow by thinking Thursday is Wednesday. Have I confused
Thank you so much. Reading back through what I had written, I realised just how stressed I was and how dangerous this can be. It seems as though the more modernised we get, the higher our stress levels are, which I think is mainly due to the fact that we have to rely more and more on technology rather than people. I'm not a technophobe but... Either way, your words are appreciated.
Today is Friday, its raining pretty hard, though probably not over the catchment areas. It is also the start of a three day weekend. I'm feeling like I should probably be doing something productive but I think the rain has me feeling like I don't want to do anything but curl up with a hot beverage in front of a good movie or even better, curl up in bed with my wife.
I went out to see a friend's band play last night at an open-mic night at the Coogee Bay Hotel. I've played there quite a few times but I've never gone as an audience member. Kind of different but good. It made a change, as my friend Peter has been very supportive of me in the past so it was excellent to return the favour. Pete's new act still needs a fair
1. Yes, for jumping a fence and swimming in a public pool at 3 am. It was 38 degrees celcius and yes, I was drunk at the time. No harm, no foul, no recording conviction. 2. I'm not proud of this, but I hit a taxi driver once for being a complete bastard. It was New Year's Day and very early in the morning. I was lined up at a taxi rank in the ACT and had been standing there for about an hour when a taxi pulled up. He pointed to three cute youn
Monday, Monday, bah, dah, bah, dah, dah, dah Oh yeah, Mondays. And today I have an extra bad case of the Mondayitis despite having a great weekend. I actually got some sun on my skin, maybe even a little too much on my forehead. My wife was giggling at me last night because I had lines across my face from wearing my sunglasses. I got some sun because we took a ni
Ah, the fine art of blogging. I'm in a position where I have a number of journals published on another site that asks anyone who might happen on it to join before they can view or post a comment. So I'm moving to this one where entry and viewing is easier. I made a decision when I first started my blog to use it as a release of a sort and maybe as a tool to discuss different asp
