Invisible ships?

this has happened on multiple games and has caused me GREAT harm.... Sometimes ships/terror stars are invisible and the only way to click on it is to wait till the beginning of every turn where it gives you an option of moving gaurding ect.. well this is also the case for alien ships.. (imagine an invisible enemy terror star sneaking up on sol without anyway of knowing other then an invisible barrier when you move ships) ugh.. i'm guessing it's my computer but do you have any suggestions?

its a bug...they haven't solved the problem yet.

It has happen to me so many times and i found that you can get temp. fix it by saving the game and than restart galciv. The ship should not disappear for the remaining game...hope that help

I've seen this problem a couple of times on enemy ships. When I clicked on the ship, the game crashed. I thought it was because of some of the background stuff I had running (AV, firewall, etc), but the last game I played I saw the same thing for ships I discovered. My computer is similar to yours except it's a P3 600, 128 MB RAM and an ATI Raydon (128MB) Video card.

Shakaar is correct. If you "see" invisible ships, save the game. Exit. Reload. Happens to me sometimes when the game has been active for several hours.
