Focus on Freeware – Vol. 1
I wanted to take the time and continue highlighting some free ware as I did before. In my first article I showed you some of the free software I use for my computer. As I said before, I don't mind paying for great software, all my software from Stardock is proof of that. However, I do believe there are great freeware applications that are better than their paying counterparts.
Today I wanted to focus on a piece of software that I think a lot of skinners could use. A .zip utility. Now I have tried several other zip utilities such as Winzip, but there is a better alternative.
IZArc
This software supports all popular archive formats. The interface is very user friendly, and includes an integrated file browser. It places a simple menu when you right-click a file or folder that gives you all the basic functions, such as quick unzipping. You can also use this to create self-extracting archives.
I know skinners here at Wincustomize need to zip files often, so I recommend you try this software.
