If you don't already have Drengin.net and are even remotely tempted to get it, I would recommend doing it soon because the price is going to go up to $99 with the upgrade price going up to $55 in a couple weeks due to a major SERIES of announcements.

I have bought GalCiv and GalCiv:AP individually, and none of the other games are interesting for me, so getting Drengin.net won't give me any additional benefits... unless I'm missing something.

Even in the event a cool game is coming on in the next year or so (like a new master of magic or GalCiv2), I'm still better of buying that individually... or am I missing some grand scheme?

These days, lots of great games get released but even a good game tends only last a few months at retail and then it's gone. There is a demand, by publishers, to have an additional way of making money on those games once the game isn't at retail anymore. 

If only publishers had a channel for games to gain a new life after retail availability has diminished...

What about on-line publishing of some of the older games? Frogboy was talking about something along those lines in another thread.
