i was under the impression that no uninhabited planet could have a class of more than 20 however during one of i managed to find an uninhabited system with a class 24 planet in it. is this just a bug?

Umm...it wasn't a class 26 planet? Class 26 planets are very rare but they do show up occasionally in uninhabited star systems.

How rare should they be? I have a game on a gigantic galaxy with at least 4 of
them.

I'd say that the larger the galaxy, the greater the chance of having a few of them.. hehe.. you might have just gotten lucky

Yeah, your chances are definitely better on a gigantic galaxy, since you have a lot more stars and planets.

So, what kind of average or ratio are we talking about? One every 10 stars? every 20?

i haven't found any 26 planets but im sure that the one i found was 24
