Come and join the Evil Empire!

Come and join the Evil Empire!

It occured to me, Herr Taco, that it might help recruiting efforts if we had a recruiting thread like we used to. But since I can't seem to locate the original in the abyss of the archives, I'm starting a new one. *Attention Evil Overlords* There is an opening in the Senate as of last week, anyone wishing to fill the position please sign up with the empire and you'll recieve 5000 Torian slaves and a large Death Furnace to roast them in.

Still sounds a bit odd - Empire of Evil Empire ;p

Not that I can come up with any better ideas btw :)

IMO, Evil Empire sounds better.

anyways, im not changing the name. you probably will have better luck convincing stardock to drop the extra "Empire" tag whenever the mouse hovers over the empire icon.

So much for a recruitment thread. Turned into a name thread. :)

Darkspire >>> the same thing was brought up when Evil Empire first started. i chose to leave the "Empire" in because i didnt want just the word "Evil" to show up in the metaverse empire page. if i had left the empire name as just "Evil", everyone in the forum would be addressing "Evil Empire" as just "Evil", which would sound just silly.

And thats why we are called Nefarious :D means the same but with a tad more flair and way more evil but without the stutter ... LOL

From the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary:

Evil: morally reprehensible; sinful, wicked

Nefarious: flagrantly wicked or impious; evil

I don't know about "way" more evil...but s'pose y'all just change your names to "The Morally Reprehensible Empire" and "The Flagrantly Impious Empire?" We lowly do-gooders could call you "TMR" and "TFI" for short.

my "Oxford Dictionary of Current English" -revised edition 1998 says:

nefarious -wicked

and thats it!LOL

so, to me, nefarious could be used the same as:

tommy blurted, "Thats Wicked!" while his friend steven performed a backflip on his skateboard.

in my opinion, nefarious by no means is more evil then the word "Evil". if oxford only describe "nefarious" with one word, then it must not be a important. LOL
