Really cool site.

I am a bit worried about the info at the end of the instructions, about changing the number, after you have unzipped and installed the mod.

I have installed mods in the past without doing this and they work okay. Or seem to.

mainly concerns council mods. for the grapics and senate seat colors to work, the mod must carry the next consecutive number. less important for the oters. sorry if it worried you (:( TExt now changed.
New!! now contains update news section. where you can see what was the last items to be updated.

Latest submission indicator is a great idea.

speed is one thing i want to keep with this site. speed with the uploading of submissions and speed with assistance if it is required. i am looking at getting a mini forum going on the site for any questions people might have. but for the moment any questions can be ither directed here or submitted via the comments section on the site.

update!!!

New Beta site now running for low bandwidth users. no pictures and reduced graphics. this part of the site is very new and isa work in progress. so dont go by the look of it yet. i repeat it only the beta version.

Update!!!

By request (Marquesa) i have changed the info for each mod to a new pop-up window, instead of the old hover method. Currently only done Anomalies section. more to follow. To view new Additions please press F5(refresh) whilst on main screen. if this does not work then refresh each page as you get to it.

Low Bandwidth side of site is now complete. to keep it simple the old hover method is still in use here.

ok just discovered that, depending on your browsers settings, you will need to hit F5 on each page to view updates. So far have updated the following pages:-

Index
Anomalies
Events
Inprovements

You do not need to do this if yu are viewing the site on the low bandwidth section.

I've not installed any mods yet (official or unofficial) but your friendly, smart and welcoming site makes me feel braver about doing it

LM I have checked out your site and it looks sweet. One question, is all of the stuff in the Library here on the galciv site on your site as well?

No, the authors have to submit the material and some of the authors in the Library have been absent for quite a while. Like Mr Hawaii 5-0

What is the advantage of this site over the library?

for the time being, only if the person who made the mods has sent thm to me. over the next few weeks i plan to do a mass download from galciv and upload to site. that way will have place you can download all the mods.

if someone has a new mod to put up i will evaluate the mod for poss trigger event and post on site within 48 hrs. unlike galcivs maybe never. only time this might not happen is if im ill. (would say so on site). Plus you can find info on how to install new mods, and get questions answered by posting them on the comments link. i will always try to reply same day plus galciv for some reason are not posting single submissions ie 1 event. however on my site i dont care if you submit 1 or a hundered mods. the fact that you have taken the time to do it in the first place is what counts. not the amount.

I've heard lots of complaints about items taking a long time to show up in the Library. I think it's a good idea to have that independently operated and controlled so that mods will be more quickly distributed.

I have got to install a mod someday...
