i saw most of it. pretty good, although i missed the first half/episode. i didn't like how they automatically assumed that since they were not willing to kill that they weren't going to win. ie, evil will always triumph, because good is dumb. but overall i liked it. if they are making it less for kiddies then that is good news.
i didn't really like the first season that much. but usually, alternate universes make for good episodes. like in that past episode where they meet the justice guild, a justice league-esque throwback to the 50s. flash: "when they did that 'rollcall!', i nearly bust a gut." that was a little more grownup than most of the other episodes. i nearly died laughing when the leader of the justice guild told the green lantern (a black guy) "you're a credit to your people!" GL: "um, thanks." or the weaknesses of some of the heroes: "my powers have no effect on aluminum!"
the fact they made the justice league have a cool line at the end made it all the more obvious it was a homage rather than a parody: "we died once to save this world. we can do it again."
that episode was the best one from the first season, and not coincidently, was probably most geared to adults. (it was even dedicated to someone who had died in real life)
