Since I'm apparently the only one on the day shift in this timezone, I'll post to move this thread up....

I submitted a game this morning and while it's in my profile, it is not in the overlord or empire rankings yet. I get an error when I try to refresh the SF score - so maybe the board is stuck and we'll remain #1 for a while. LOL

I noticed a couple of interesting things as well - I got a neutral alignment ranking even though my alignment was less than 50 - I killed some worms and put some protesters in jail - only two events through game. Typically, most of my games have a neutral UI - but I almost always end up CG or CE. Interesting....

Also, in my fourth game as the univeralists I was way behind the Drendin and the Altarian - as they were building dreadnought - I found 3 Rangers. I was too far into culture bombing to care - but it was pretty cool. I had never previously found a ranger ever. I wonder if luck kicks in when you need it most.... I'm noticed that the UP vote on swapping techs tends to come up more when I'm way behind in tech (it came up last night and I had to reload). I almost never see it when I'm way ahead. Similarly, the crystal, fundies, draginol, etc seem to come up more frequently when I'm playing from ahead... perhaps to add to the challenge. I don't know if there is a relationship - but it's fun to speculate.

Cypher - re your game, the SAME thing happened to my game yesterday! I submitted a game, it registers as legal on my personal profile...but my personal total score doesn't move. Glad it affects the empire score, but...what gives?

It can take up to 24hrs to update either score, plus I've noticed lately the scoring's gone a bit dodgy. Hope this helps

Finally manged to submit my 1.49 AP game with help from Cari... plus another game.. They seemed to up date both my personal and empire scores

So that was it. I wasn't paying attention and thought it was the recalc. OK, no recalc for me, just more goofy scoring problems. So... I guess I'll let my puter run the night through to get the beta.
