Nostalgic for 1.02 - Can I Redownload It?

I had a desire to play a 1.02 game again. Not to submit to the metaverse, but just for fun and a sense of the "good old days". I also wanted to compare it to the current version.

How about adding a feature to Stardock Central that lets you download and play an old "stable" version without corrupting your current installation? (Or maybe make this a bonus feature for drengin.net subscribers?)

fsk, wonder if someone has it archived. I think you could archive your old versions. I'm not sure. Maybe someone has it. It would be cool though.

I have backed up 1.03 and 1.04 as Standalones... I did not have the game before 1.03...

The problem is that if I reinstall from the CD and go to an archived standalone, I overwrite my current copy of the game. I'd like to keep both installed.

Install to a different directory.

Today's your lucky day! Seems I have it archived.

Now the problem is that SD probably doesn't want me redistributing it to you without proof of a valid CD key. In fact, the EULA probably forbids it.

Also, I've noticed that with all of the patches, the name of the .zip file looks like it contains a hash of some sort, most likely of the CD key you enter to access the download. I wonder if each executable also contains this hash. If this is the case, my 1.02 patch may give you the jail scene.

Can anyone from SD reply to this and let me know?
