Government question

I have learned (through this forum, and through experiments on my own), that Income from a planet basically tops out at 4 x PQ, regardless of the improvements or economic resources that you are mining.

So, my question relates to governments, if most of my planets are already producing 4 x PQ in income, is it worth it to change to the more advanced forms of government?

yes it is.when you look at the domestic policy screen you will notice under the mil,soc,and res that the numbers are x + y.X is the base amoiunt of production done that is looked at when figuring out what bonuses (y) are given as free production and what the caps are set at.Now there is a limit if I remember correctly about pqx4 that caps out and you start to take penalties.But when you go up in goverment types this applies to actual bc that can be put into further development or into your warchest by cutting back on taxes so that helps keep morale higher.The second form gives you 20%,the third 40% and the last 60% in economic revenues.Hope this helps
