Eidolon multiplayer

so i am playing with my friend and we are playing one tec and one Eidolon and most things arent a problem but then we noticed that even when my friend is my ally he will get corruption and in the beginning that is a huge problem. i kept having to gimp my expansion and not upgrade my planets because if he got corruption he was getting -100 in slot of stuff so first of all is there a way to make it so allies get less debuff or none at all the planets can be managed mostly but the biggest problem is when i need to help him defend. when i am defending i am also giving him a huge negative making playing them in multiplayer kinda pointless you cant cooperate or atleast there is little point because of the debuff. when it comes to the planets it would be good if you could limit the spread even when upgrading it to max

hope a solution can be found but love the dlc and game anyway :)

On a shrouded world, the outward push to your friend's planets is Propagate Mode specifically. Only one shroud mode runs on a planet at a time, so a world set to Exploitation or Summoning is doing its job without projecting at his.

Propagate also has tunable radius, speed and strength, so you can keep it running and pull the radius in rather than choosing between spreading corruption and not developing at all.

The Planetary Corruption window lists your corrupted planets with their status and assigned mode, and it has its own hotkey. That is the quickest way to see which of your worlds is currently propagating.

The fleet side is temporary rather than permanent. Ship corruption decays on its own after a delay, and the 2.00.3 hotfix set that delay to 60 seconds with decay at 1 corruption per 10 seconds. If you were playing before that went out, co-defending cost him more than it does now, so check you are both on 2.00.3.

For his TEC ships the penalty is Corrupted Sensors, which interferes with sensor range. At maximum corruption a ship starts losing hull repair, then armor repair, then shield regeneration, and it recovers each of those as corruption falls back below the threshold.

TEC, Advent and Vasari each picked up shroud mitigation or shroud removal research in 2.0 to answer corruption, so that is worth him going looking for before you both plan around the debuff.

I am not aware of a switch that exempts allies outright, so those are the levers as things stand. The full 2.0 list is in the changelog thread over in Sins II Support if you want the rest of it.

so if i understand you correctly you can change the radius of propagate mode? how? and i know you can just not develop corruption ofc but that is a small gimp on the planet and you wont know how big the increase is on the map it says how big it is but as far as i know you cant know how far that is. I did kept only propegate on the planets further away and summoning and exploitation after we realised the heavy debuff but if you have system turning or if you have a small map or your just close together then you cant really do anything.

the only research i can see on tec is at lvl 5 and its not his ship debuffs that is the biggest problem it will give the planet development a big debuff so if you need to keep a fleet at an ally planet its just dead untill you leave or if you get to lvl 5 in research and that will take awile. If the debuff was 20% of everything then that is one thing but the debuff is 100% reduction if you had a reduction for allies or something that would be better i mean you are allies. and yes we are both on 2.00.3
