Error starting Version 6.5.2.7 on MS Server 2016

Hello

I updated Fences on a server running Windows Server 2016 from version 6.4.6.1 to 6.5.2.7. After restarting Fences, I get the error message “Fences does not appear to be running.” After teh Message, the Management screen is comming up. But the Icons don't show.

I still got the error even after reinstalling Fences!

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Do you have specific security software that could be blocking Fences from running properly. Software such as Forcepoint, use to be Websense, is known to have issue with Fences.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Also, check if Fences is setup to startup twice on boot. Refer here: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1331232868/Fences+is+not+starting+after+boot

I was doing the uninstall - Restart New install - restart new installation. Same Problem! 

Perhaps I got no link for clean uninstall!
Server 2026  has no Startup Register in Taskmanager!

The purge is different than a normal uninstall. Please try the purge part.

Good Morning
After a clean uninstall and a new installation, i get the same Error. Fences can't start!

From the Fences application, please select "Enable advance logging".  This can be found from the "About" tab of the application, under "Troubleshooting".  

In German it should look like this:

After enabling this, reboot your PC.  Please let us know once this has been done, then we can take a look to see if Fences is loading up properly.
