Greetings.
In this game (as well as the previous game in this series), when you zoom in, if there is a unit near or on the mouse cursor, the camera locks on to this unit and starts panning around if the unit moves.
In Sins1 this could be resolved by making the following change to the rebellion.camera.settings file :
zoomToCursorLockOnMovingEntities FALSE
zoomToCursorSnapsToEntities FALSE
However, I am looking through the settings.json file for Sins 2 and I am unable to find any settings that can achieve a similar result and I was hoping it is just my ignorance standing in my way, and that there is a solution. However I cannot find it.
I was hoping someone else might be able to help me out in achieving the same result.
The Zoom to cursor feature is also very handy for quickly getting the camera where I want it to be and would really hope I wouldn't have to disable that.
In short, what I want to achieve is that I can move the camera quickly and easily where I want it to be, and then for the camera to stay there unless I move it, instead of it panning and moving on its own just because a unit happened to be underneath the cursor when I zoomed to a planet a place something (like combat) is happening.
A workaround is to hit the wasd/arrow keys to 'un-attach' the camera, but I would prefer not having to do this every single time I zoom in and out to move the camera, a lot of the usefulness of zooming to cursor is not having to press buttons on the keyboard as well in order to move the camera.
If anyone has any suggestion or help, I would greatly appreciate it
