We've updated the 'Sins of a Solar Empire II - Test Edition' on Epic with a hotfix. We hope this update will resolve issues some users have had running the game. 

Change Notes:

• THIS UPDATE IS NOT SAVE GAME COMPATIBLE!
• Hopefully fixes the Epic Auth Errors on game start.
• Fixes font face errors caused by unexpected unicode codes in user names.
• Hopefully fixes 'Create directory failed' crashes.
  • Note - We've had to move the directory where the game puts data to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\sins2_pre_alpha
• Fixed crash when clicking the last item in a fully upgraded gas giant.
• Fixed crash when clicking the Akkan's trade port ability button before it's upgraded.
• Hopefully fixed some json read errors.
• Fixed crash in fixup_random_player_visuals when some AI players are made non-random and then removed from the lobby.
• Fixed assert (!_is_mouse_button_down[mouse_button])
• Fixed crash attempting to save debug_gui
• Fixed assert (!_item_dragging_state.is_started])
• Fixed failed to compute shader error. This is caused by older cards that are not fully compliant with DirectX 11.1.
• Fixed crashes on loading a save game.
• Updated crash handler to look for files in the new AppData location
