This looks decent enough, but I tend to avoid Sci-Fi shows in general. They're really cheesy. The last ones I've actually enjoyed were Firefly and Stargate SG1.
I do watch The Walking Dead... and even that is pretty cheesy. I wouldn't say I really "enjoy" it. It's just one of those shows that I watch for no reason. Sort of like an addiction. Gotta see what happens next, right?
I might give this show a chance someday though. Maybe if they ever get around to tossing it up on Netflix...
Still halfway the second season of Following, but that one is hardly masterpiece either - its first season have to be famous for the stupidity of some of the characters, especially police ones...
Oh man... I stopped watching that show half way through the first season. Sure, a show needs a great antagonist... but you're supposed to have a good protagonist, too. Don't write yourself into a corner where your bad guy is leagues smarter than your good guy.
Speaking of bad guys... you didn't mention Breaking Bad in that list of shows. I'm going to assume you haven't seen it, and then say "What's WRONG with you!?"
Not to hijack the thread or anything...
You missed the ultimate act of FBI stupidity in one of the final episodes then.
If you look for less cheesier scifi, i guess i would recommend Oddyssey 5. Not the best ever, and the overall story might be considered cheese, given presence of time-travel, aliens and stuff like that, but otherwise it was actually fairly mature, I like Peter Weller because of this show.
Regarding BB, speaking for myself, OFC i have seen it and it was great. Tense as hell, on occasion i could not wait for the next episode. Cliffhangers like a bitch! Thats the way i like it. And that scene when Gus Frings went to visit the old mexican guy, that Apparat song playing in background, the inevitability of whats going to happen - utter perfection IMO.
I actually went to watch The Wire, cause it was compared to BB so much, as they both focus on the drug scene. Turned out they are not really comparable, LOL, classic example of apples to oranges, The Wire being way more believable and almost real-like i guess. Both are equally great though, at least in my eyes. Both are 9,4 on IMDB, deservedly IMO.
Finally, in that little list of mine i forgot True Detective and Fargo! These were probably the best of this year´s crop so far.
Sorry for derailing this thread a bit too.
