i think that the "only ship that survived" was big and ancient- and maybe one day we will see it (the former glory of the vasari before their exodus began)
Well in my own mind when I read that I imagined the ship that "survived" being fairly small, say a skirmisher. Something fairly fast and unimportant, something the enemy would let escape to spread fear to the remaining Vasari. But hey, none of us know. All I know is that they have by far the coolest construction animation. Makes a bit more sense why their titans look like they came out of a portal to hell itself.

Nah, not really. I prefer Kortul, Vulkoras and Skirantra over it any day. Its a shame, really, as IMHO it looked fairly good as a sketch, but somehow, this was not translated into the final model - unlike Loyalist Titan for example, that looks as cool on a sketch as ingame.
BTW this new capship, as you can partially see from that pic, is really big. Bigger than Evacuator.
Similar with you, I prefer Kortul and Vulkoras. The new scorpion ship is too "alien".
But, since they designed the ridiculous Toasts-and-a-So-What-Toaster-Frame ship, I should say the scorpion is still rather awful, or maybe, "normal".
I'd be more excited about this if I could finish a game without crashing...

Wow the Vasari look fantastic in those screen shots. Were their ships always that detailed or is this a Rebellion thing?
They had always best looking ships IMHO. Especially Capships.
My favorite is still the Vasari Carrier Capship- Skiranta!
Has been from the very first release of Sins way back, and the game has come a long way since then.
Crossing my fingers for today. Seriously, its my day off, it would be perfect!
Exactly , hope it is today , its the calm in the eye of the storm of exams at the moment, hoping for it today
