do planet improvements stack?

Do the bonuses conferred by the planetary improvements stack? So if I build 2 traditional factories do I get 8 mp a week etc?

In Twilight, at least, there is a Summary button near the bottom right of the planetary improvement screen.  Press it and you'll get a summary of what each of your improvements is doing and the total mp, tp, food, bonuses, etc.

Anybody have a list of the colors associated for each of the techs in the tech tree?

Yellow: Communications, Diplomacy, Culture, Trade, Government, Ethics and Entertainment
Turquoise: Propulsion
Blue: Research and Miniaturization
Orange: Manufacturing and Economy
Green: Biology, Farming, Colonization and Terraforming
Red: Weapons and Invasion
Purple: Defense and Planetary Defense
Violet: Logistics, Life Support, Space Mining and Hulls

Keep in mind, that this is just a rough guideline and I'm not quite sure, if the names of the last two colors are correct. There is also the fact that some techs don't have the correct color, because they have been mis-labeled.
