i want to create a mod that adds gas planet abilities to all stellar bodies. how do i do that.

Piece of cake. Pop into the descriptively named entity file concerning the planet/star in question, and add the same ability listed under the gas giant's list.

You do have to convert to text before editing of course, unless you can read bin files anyway.
