i need help once more! (about making a mod folder)

so i just got kresons battle wagons mod but when i look for the mod folder to put it in its not there this is what i see :

DATA (D:)> stardock games>sins of a solor empire> ???? (WTH!!! theres no mod folder AHGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! STUPID $%&^$#@ IM GONA@#$@!% AND THEN SHOVE IT UP UR #@$%%!!!!!)

 

so u see my delima  can some one tell me what to do here?  can u make a mod folder that will work and show up on the mod options in-game?

Start up the game, go to options, go to mods, then select "find mod file path" or something like that.

Then go to control panel, classic view, folder options, view, and check "show hidden files and folders."

Then you can go to the right filepath.

BTW, the correct filepath is:

Windows XP:C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Mods

Vista/7:C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Mods

after iron clad games there is no mod folder is it becuse i instaled the game on DATA (D:)?

Syn is correct that pressing show mod path in the mods menu screen should create the mod directory.

marmar158, sins AND the expansions store the mods AND settings in the user data space for windows NOT in the program installation space, and the typical path(s) to the data space assuming your windows IS installed on 'C:' IS   for xp

NOTE the first two folders after the 'user name' are hidden , so to see them you must first click on 'tools' then 'folder options', then 'view', then click on 'show hidden files& folders' then click ok, then you will be able to browse your want to the folder. I suggest when you find the folder that you create a shortcut to it on the desktop

NOTE 2 the 'user name' in the above paths is your WINDOWS login user name, eg Administrator

note 3 the above path names assume your windows installation LANGUAGE is ENGLISH(any varient) and other languages WILL have differences in the HIDDEN folder NAMES to suite the installed language

if you want to double check if the folders HAVE been correctly created BY starting sins/entrenchment/diplomacy, the simplest way is to use any of my modding utilities as they DO look for the current mod folder locations or atleast the dataspace ironclad games folder.

and I had to figure out this as I was writing the utilities so that they would be able to find the mods/galaxy folders so that they could do their job for ALL sinners
