Exhaust Effect Question

Hi there,

I was wondering if there was a way to make the exhaust effect of a ships engines appear at the very same distance as the 3D mesh does, when zooming in (when a ship turns from an icon to a 3D model onscreen). and the very same way around when zooming out of course. If anyone happened to know this, it would be a great help. Thx

er, no luck? Doesn't anybody know this? I couldn't find anything in the forums or guides. If anybody did help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
