Trying to Elimintate Capitol Ship pop

I want to know how to make a capitol ship not have a pop value in the officer count? I have a vague Idea but I am not sure I think I have to go into the capitol ship file and do the modification there but I am not really sure and don't want to make a move until I am certian.

Nope, every capitalship uses 1 officer count, it's hard coded (you can however change the fleet supply cost). If you are just wanting to make an unlimited capitalship mod though you can just edit the research files to give like 99 officer count at the beginning of the game. If you're trying to make just one capital ship cost more than 1 though you are going to need to find a work around.

This is the what I am reading in the Max Capitol Ship Research part what part do I change to make it what I want? I tried to copy and paste what was in the file but it wouldn't show up. So I uploaded the file to Hotfile really want to have lots of capitol ships on the map as I am playing.

In the level 1 (index number 0) research (the one you uploaded is for Vasari only, there's 2 more for the other races)

You must convert the file to text format, or use harpo's reference files. You'll need the vanilla sins ones for the capship researches, but I suggest you download all 3 batches for later use.

Also, since I don't know how much you know about modding, I'll also say this: Never change the base game files in your installation folder! Always make a mod that replaces these files. You can find modding tutorials and utilities on this forum. (sry I don't have the links at hand)
