I've been mapping with GalaxyForge for some time now, but I've had all too few opportunities to play with my creations online.  What few games I've had with them have been great, so I've decided to publish a sample of my best work in a map pack.  It's my hope to arrange some games with these maps online, and if anyone would be interested in setting up a game on one of these maps I'd love to join in.

You can download the map pack from RTSCommunity.com: http://www.rtscommunity.com/mw/map.php?itemid=243&game=26

By the way, to further entice the curious, here are some of the map previews:

Escalation

One of my favourite 1v1 creations.  Very offensive map which encourages lots of harass.

Structural Integrity

This is one of my more recent creations.  I did an obligatory run through with a comp stomp and it played very well. I'd love to take it for a spin online.

Lattice / Standard Lattice

This is one of my earlier works where I was experimenting with different starting cash amounts.  The map has proved to be one of my all-time favourites, and I've created a second version, Standard Lattice, with regular resource levels.  Only flaw with this map is no neutrals, but it's a very solid and fun map otherwise.

Hex

This is another relatively recent creation that I haven't gotten to try online yet.  I've love to set up a 3v3 here and watch chaos unfold...

Solar Conquests

One of my earliest creations.  There's very little to colonize in your starting solar system, forcing you to head off and explore elsewhere.  There's a lot of variety on this map, but no single system is exceedingly large.

Fallen Paradise

This one is a remix of my first map (War in Paradise, which is also included in the map pack).  It's a very small map with only five colonizable planets per player, but it's very solid and fun.

So, I won't fill up this page with previews (I'll let you download and view them yourself if you're interested).  I hope to get the opportunity to play some of these online with you guys :-D

Escalation is one of my favourites.  If I catch you online I'll certainly have you a game!

These look like nice maps.  I think you share my love of symmetry.  Structured Integrity reminds me of one of my donut maps, where I needed to use trigonometry to figure out exactly where to place everything.

Everything?  Jeeze, what a nerd.  I only did it for the homeworlds :-P

I actually like looking at other people's work, contrasting different styles and design philosophies.  Even though we both pursue a philosophy of symmetry, we do it in different ways.  I like that diversity.

It's worse than you think...I also created an Excel file listing the +/- X and Y (Cosine, Sine) coordinates for radius lengths up to 200 units (in 5 unit increments) from a star at 9 degree intervals. (And no, I didn't calculate all of that, I just used column formulas in Excel.)

I don't know how we're going to organize it yet, but we definitely should have a system set up to allow for a community compilation (not just me and Dirty Sanchez).  I'm currently contacting a friend to see if he can supply us with an installer program, and hopefully we'll be able to set up a system whereby we can add new material to the compilation in regular iterations.  With a simple installer, it'd be easy to stay updated with the most recent compilation.

Oh that would be the best I think also.
