Galaxy Forge and ingame editor incompatible?

Basically I want to open up an ingame randomly created scenario in Galaxy Forge and do some changes, but when I try the map is blank...

which version of sins and galaxy forge?

I have done exactly what you wanted back in sins 1.12 galforge 1.1

I have not tried this in 1.15 galforge 3 yet

I have tried exactly what you described, ie create a map in map designer, save it then open it in galaxy forge 3,yes I did see a black screen, but the scroll bars suggested that the stars were to the down and right, so I scrolled out to max view then used the scroll bars to drag the view area until I could see the systems.

so YES you CAN edit a map designer map in gal forge 3 BUT you must save the map in the program galaxy or you can not play it

All right, I'll give it a go when I get home. I was in a bit of a rush this morning so probably it was just me not noticing the scroll bars... :)
