modding starbases

I am trying to create a personal mod for the starbases. Unfortunetly, I am a tad out of practice. I was wondering, what does one have to do in order to change the maximum number of upgrades for a starbase. I tried changing the:

maxUpgradeLevelCount to 9

Nothing happened in game though. There is always the possibility that I messed up with the new mod interface. Any help would be appreciated.

right now Beta 3 is unmodable i think. ive even changed the base install and the updates still do not show up. the mod foldure does not work in entrenchment either at this point in time, it least i dont believe, all things i tried with it did not work. so untill they get a guide up on how to mod beta 3, were out of luck.

Same here, but i expect they are on it already. Perhaps it is the new engine, Blair mentioned that it was completely different from how it was in 1.0 in the first release. I expect it will get ironed out and we will back to modding Entrenchment in no time.

i was wrong, it is modable, you got to modify the Entity.manifest in the entrenchment folder to add new entities to entrenchment (anything not already in the entrenchment gameinfo, this includes if you want to modify any original sins research, you got to add it to entrenchment folder and then add it to the entity.manifest).

 

the mod folder should be something like Mods/(modname)/Entrenchment/GameInfo + Entity.manufest + any other modifyed files.  of course i havent tested this, and im not 100% sure if the new mod loader works correctly. i hard moded all my files directly into the install directory since with every new beta you got to reinstall anyhow.
