Access is Denied?

So I downloaded the total mod tool set and opened up the pdf for creating simple mods by editing the gameinfo text.

(I have the new .entity files that are text writable)

There is one problem.  When I try to save a .entity file after editing it, I choose to overwrite the original file, and it says it can't, because the access is denied.  What's up with this?  I can delete the .entity files fine, and I can create .entity files and modify them, I just can't overwrite the original files.  It just says "Acces to [the mod path] is denied"

Please help.  I am a budding modder and will probably reward you with a cool mod one day if you do.

Thanks,

Onyx

I have the same thing!

I just save them as text file then convert them back using the command line given inside the mod tool package!

Hope it helped,

Justin S.

check your folder permissions, the os (i presume windows xp or vista) may not let you overwrite files in that directory.

can you create a new file, save it to your desktop, and then overwrite it there?

Its relatively easy right now to do it a different way, I just modify it and name it something different, then delete the original one and rename mine to the original one.  But I think it might be read only.

Thanks for all your help
